OPEN TO START
Many kingdoms have started persecuting their witches, warlocks, and prophets. The penalty is imprisonment - and depending on the kingdom, death. It's getting harder and harder to tell which kingdoms are safe anymore, with tensions so high. But if you can manage to escape your own kingdom to a safer one, you have a fighting chance. In fact, some kingdoms are so welcoming to your kind, the palaces are offering them staff positions. Do you escape to a safer kingdom, and even become part of the royal consort, or do you perish at the flaming edges of your birthplace?

Sign up Rules for reference
You can have as many characters as you can keep up with, 4 or less is recommended.
Please keep your high rank character to any pre-determined description that comes with their kingdom. I've tried to keep them loose. They CAN have magic also but probably in the more welcoming kingdoms.
Keep it site appropriate.
No Goldilocks characters.
Don't make your refugee overpowered.
If you want another type of character, like a palace servant or a regular person, just put it in your form, it will most likely be fine.
Any questions please pm me, don't post in forum. I will update if a change needs to be made.
No 'seen in rp'.
You MUST read the kingdom descriptions before posting a form so you are aware of the dynamics of your kingdom.
Hide white lily in one of your forms.
Delete things in parentheses.

General RP Rules
This will be a semi-literate to literate rp.
Romance is allowed, if you have an issue with LGBT+ then don't join. Keep it PG.
Be aware your character can die.
PM me if you have a royal that wants to make significant changes before doing so (holding events, forming/breaking alliances, new rules, a noble dying, etc). I need to be aware to keep everything up to date.
You can always, always have input, don't be shy if something is wrong or you have questions/suggestions.
Hate the character, not the player. Let's be honest, some characters can become annoying, especially if that's purposely the personality of the character!
Have FUN my dudes.

Posting
Sometimes, it can be a bit difficult to remember who plays who, especially when you're just reading through. It can be tedious to guess all the time, especially if they have multiple characters. For the sake of this please format as such (it is much appreciated!):

Name / F M or NB / Rank (king, princess, witch, prophet, etc) / current kingdom location + town / Mentions: other character or None (anyone mentioned in the post except for your own character)

Ex:Ophelia / F / Princess / Del'ti Tnu, palace / Mentions: Margeaux

Morgan / NB / witch / Noitara Pes, Rohan / Mentions: None

Kingdom Descriptions

Don't forget to look at the map!

Del'ti Tnu
Closely allied with Rewolf, Eru Tangis, Noitara Pes, and Telma'h
The safest and most welcoming kingdom for refugees. The king is kind and knows his people well, though is protective of his only daughter. It is mainly farming communities here, and they have the biggest food export to the rest of the kingdoms. The kingdom is currently planning a ball for any available suitor to court the princess - the king is hiding an illness from public eye and is soon expected to pass.
King: Virgil / 49 / Lovador
Princess: Ophelia / 18 / Piperlake

Rewolf
Closely allied with Del'ti Tnu and Telma'h. The second safest kingdom - it's difficult to get in, but secure. They have the best military of all the kingdoms, other than Tsina Tas. The king is long time best friends with Del'ti Tnu's king. The prince is expected heavily to take over the throne, and the princess, while very prim and proper, is not viewed by the public as queen material.
King:
Prince: Nikolaus unless filled
Princess: Xe'Cara / 18 / Yamii

Noitara Pes
Closely allied with Del'ti Tnu, Teloiv, and Telma'h. Many refugees come here, but many do not end up staying. Noitara Pes is more of a pass-through. The kingdom is relatively poor, but the people are accepting and harbor refugees while they struggle to get back on their feet. The princess is a beloved ambassador of the kingdom, and is amongst her people on the daily to hand out food and money as available. The king and queen support her in her endeavors, but are not as concerned or involved. Del'ti Tnu is far away, so food imports take a very long time to arrive.
King: Lawrence unless filled
Queen: Rachel unless filled
Princess: Margeaux / 18 / Piperlake

Eru Tangis
Closely allied with Del'ti Tnu, Teloiv, and St'Nemunom. The kingdom has job opportunities galore, but many businesses are private and hire at the owner's discretion. There are refugee businesses, but they are not immune to ridicule or destruction from an upset party. The king has a vast palace with many gardens, though it is empty, with only a few servants, and a family nurse who watches over the king.
King: Martin unless filled

Teloiv
Closely allied with Noitara Pes, Eru Tangis, and St'Nemunom. Though not as poor as Noitara Pes, the kingdom is still humble. The Queen holds bias against the refugees, and refuses to enforce any protective laws, but the prince is known to actively argue on their behalf. Usually the worse off refugees end up here, and are helped by secret underground passages to get up to Noitara Pes and onward, while others are captured and imprisoned. There is a rumor that the prince is engaged to the princess of Noitara Pes, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Queen: Pauline unless filled
Prince: Corin unless filled

Telma'h
Closely allied with Del'ti Tnu, Rewolf, Noitara Pes, St'Nemunom, and Tsina Tas. Known for their beautiful orchards and gardens. They are also considered the capital of all knowledge, with many scientists, astronomers, philosophers, doctors, and scholars residing here. There is a bit of a mystery as to why the princess, a beautiful and intelligent, as well as talented noble, is not yet married. The kingdom does not explicitly target refugees, but does not do much to help the situation either.
King: Coreath / 58 / Yamii
Princess: Veida / 19 / Uncannyclownery

St'Nemunom
Closely allied with Eru Tangis, Teloiv, Telma'h, and Tsina Tas. This is a very religious state. Refugees will be sentenced to death if they are caught - it is said the persecution started here and spread to further kingdoms. The queen is bitter and violent against those opposed to her rule and refuses to give up the throne as the oldest monarch in all of the kingdoms. There is no real need for a military - troops from Tsina Tas are stationed throughout and carry out her orders, but only secondly to their own kingdom.
Queen: Sarey/ 60/ Lovador

Tsina Tas
Closely allied with Telma'h and St'Nemunom. While grandiose and glimmering on the outside, the worst criminals of all live unregulated. Gangs run rampant while the royal family lives unbothered. This is one of the largest kingdoms, so it is nearly impossible to rule completely. They have a drafted military, and it is second largest to Rewolf. They have been sending troops to St'Nemunom to "protect" the queen and push an underlying agenda. The royal family doesn't give whip about the welfare of their people, and is only interested in power and possession. They have recently cut ties with Del'ti Tnu and Rewolf.
King:
Prince: Travis / 20 / Piperlake
Princess: Alexis / 21 / Lylaplylap

Alright everyone! Be sure to go through everything before you start (mainly the map and Current Events page.) Happy roleplaying!

Princess Ophelia / F / Princess / Del'ti Tnu, palace / Mentions: King Virgil, open to interact
The Princess dashed through the narrow corridors of the palace, her royal blue flats pattering on the floor. It was not very lady-like of her, was it? But it was a favorite thing of hers, and she was reprimanded constantly for it. Not on purpose - it had just grown into a bad habit, it seemed. Ophelia turned the corner sharply, and shoved open the wide doors onto the open-air walkway that went between the corridors near her father's study and the bedchambers. There was another way around, but she took this path as often as she could. She stopped mid-stride and looked out across the land stretching out underneath her - the vast fields of farmland, the rooftops of houses and marketplaces all around in the city. The horsedrawn carts and children playing ball in the dirt roads of Clark. Kinallen and Telma'h lay beyond, to the south. It wasn't a whole lot, but it was more than most. Ophelia turned and took a step towards the West Wing, but a small gasp escaped her as she stepped backwards, narrowly avoiding a collision with the person standing right in front of her.

Princess Margeaux / F / Princess / Noitara Pes, Rohan / Mentions: NPCs, Ophelia, the king and queen, open to interaction
"Here...take this." A girl crouched near some children huddling in a corner, staring cautiously at the food in her outstretched hand. "Please." Margeaux shook it at them a bit, and the little girl snatched the bread from her, a frail hand quick as lightning. The boy - her brother, presumably - tried grabbing at it also, but the sister held it close to her chest, staring at the giver, before they shoved their way past and ran off, fearful of retaliation. Margeaux stood back up, brushing her knee with her hand. Her kingdom was at it's edge. She did whatever she could to help the people nearby, but it wouldn't be enough. Even the palace was run out of its wits. Thinking of her unnecessarily extravagant dress for her friend's ball that lay in the tailor's hands made her nauseous. It was probably the grandest-looking thing in the whole country, and the demand for such an item would be incredible - if there was anyone left who could pay it. But of course, all the buyers would need to be foreign, and her parents would rather her not sell it anyways. So she could be the jewel of Noitara Pes. A representative. The face. It was only fitting of a princess. But she didn't feel like a princess...not out here.

Prince Travis / M / Prince / Tsina Tas, palace / Mentions: Queen Sarey, Princess Ophelia, open to interaction
Thin, wiry hands patted the lapel that lay across the prince's chest as the reflection of himself followed suit. The new round of troops had arrived in St'Nemunom and so far, word was good. That was all that mattered, really. As long as Tsina Tas had military control over the country, anything their queen said was only sunshine and daisies. With the riots, she needed them to be absolutely sure the monarchy would survive. Prince Travis felt good about the whole ordeal. And, despite the beginnings of a broken alliance with Del'Ti Tnu, he was preparing himself to travel in person to win the heart of their Princess. It didn't matter if he liked her or not - there was the makings of a war to keep under wraps, and having strong allies was an important factor. Ruling the south, north, and practically east - it could only get better from there. He ran his hand through his dark hair, flashing a quick smile at his reflection in the mirror one more time, before turning about and exiting his bedroom chamber. It was time for a meal.

Morgan / NB / witch / Teloiv, Jemma's Bazaar / Mentions: NPCs, open to interaction
"And how much are these?"
The vendor gave her a sly glance. "Six gold pieces."
"Six! But they should be at least two!" Morgan glanced at the bag of rosemary seeds on the table, unsure. It was too much, and something about his eyes made her uncomfortable. "H-how much in silver?"
He cackled. "Fifteen if you're lucky! Pay up or go away."
They grimaced. Did she even have that much left? Was it even worth it? They stared for a moment, then sighed, not wanting to give up that much of her coin. She wouldn't have enough to find a safehouse tonight. "Alright, I'm sorry." They turned, rubbing her neck as they walked off. It was so hard to find things that were affordable these days. Hadn't she been through enough?
A shout caught their attention, causing them to turn their head. An officer was running towards her, waving a club in the air. Morgan's heart started to beat loud and fast, and she took off running, as fast as she could. Damn! Had the vendor sold her out? They cursed themselves for falling for it. Jemma's Bazaar was supposed to be relatively magic-user friendly, but she should have known there'd be some fakes. Planted there for the purpose of catching them. Because if there was any place to find witches, it was here. She should have been more careful.

(please tell me if anything is wrong here ^^)
Xe'Cara || Rewolf Palace

Xe'Cara sat in her room, bitter about her brother being favored, but at least she had something to look forward to. The ball would at least allow her to feel royal for a bit. And maybe... Veida will be there, all more the reason to attend!

Dotty || Telma'h Marketplace || Anghor

Dotty walks through the marketplace, blending in seamlessly, looking like nothing more but another young scholar getting food. Dotty walked past a stand of strawberries, looking like they were scooped up from the orchards mere moments before. She swiped a few, and then before anyone noticed, Dotty ran back to her hiding spot.

Coreath || Telma'h Palace

Coreath walked through the halls of the palace looking out the countless windows, thinking about the party and how he could maybe get Veida to meet a nice suitor and see how the 'situation' was going. Coreath never really thought about that, since it didn't matter, as Telma'h was running as if nothing was happening and he wanted to keep it that way.

Lars || St'Nemunom Woodlands

"Why did you have to do this now?" Lars mumbled as he walked through the woods, referring to his sister. He had to find her so they could get to safety.

(Let me know if I should/need to change something. All my characters are open for interaction. I might make some more characters if anyone needs someone to interact with.)

Shard Ka/ NB/ merchant and mercenary/ Topic, Jemma's Bazaar/ Mentions: NPCs, Ghadir, Morgan
Ghadir Woods/ M/ warlock\prophet/ Teloiv, Jemma's Bazaar/ Mentions: NPCs, Shard, Morgan

Ghadir keeps his about him as he trots through Jemma's Bazaar, the vision he had had earlier fresh in his memory. He stops suddenly and, beside him, Shard does too. Shard tries to decipher Ghadir's expression when he looks around. Something about the last vision had distracted Ghadir.
"There they are. And the guard right behind them." Ghadir murmurs when he spots Morgan. He is only loud enough for Shard to hear his comment. Shard nods slowly.
"So your plan is to get caught?"
"No. Just lead them away from the dead end."
"You'd get caught." Shard presses.
"You forget where I grew up. I have my ways." Ghadir examines the surrounding area for anything he could use to his advantage.
"You would never make it. You grew up sheltered near the water with no need to navigate a crowded square, dodge the people you don't wish to have on your tail, and make an escape when you are found. You learned how to swim, how to tell directions in less crowded areas, and perhaps how to sell off the fish you caught. You would never make it."
Shard puts their hand over Ghadir's. "I have more experience in a chase than you do. You help them if you so wish, though I bet they'll nail you with whatever they have on hand before you get a word in. I will lead the guards away."
Ghadir slouches before he nods and dashes to lead Morgan away from the dead end.
Shard closes his eyes, internally shaking his head at the childish valor Ghadir stubbornly, foolishly has not grown out of and the strange loyalty he felt when it comes to the red head. Then they move to intercept the guard and draw him away as subtly as possible. Shard always had his short swords and an uncanny ability to (usually) accurately guess a person's next move if he needed to be a bit more persuasive or if things went wrong.
Ghadir approaches Morgan nervously, never having tried to intercept what he saw to be from happening. His mind blanks on what to say, but he offers a simple gesture to show which direction Morgan should take - a possibly, hopefully safer route.

Rowanne Kinigos/ F/ Lady-in-waiting/ Rohan, Noitara Pes/ Mentions: NPCs, Margeaux

Rowanne watches Margeaux and the children, no emotion evident on her face. Her thoughts wander for a moment to the upcoming ball. She quickly shakes it out of her head, not wanting to think about the possibilities of the rumors of her Margeaux and the prince of Teloiv being engaged. She needed to ask her friend (Margeaux) about it sooner rather than later, but the public place didn't sound like the right place.
She heaves a sigh, adjusts her grip on her sword, and offers Margeaux a hand even though she knows her princess to be capable of standing by herself. Rowanne pulls her hand back when she realizes that the extended help could be seen as rude since it wasn't needed.
"Are you OK?" Rowanne asks her friend, the hidden message of 'what are you thinking about the upcoming ball' the real question being asked. She glances towards the passersby and gives them a look that sends them watching something else of interest (even if it wasn't as interesting as the two young women). Her gaze settles on Margeaux and she can't help but smile. Then she recognizes that her scoring someone away probably wasn't something Margeaux wanted.
