I know the art is possibly being redone but I was wondering if differences in the genders can be a bit more visual instead of just poses because some of the poses are not really flattering... maybe give several poses to the same beast and a gender symbol be next to the pets name... maybe even just do a few poses for each depending on personality. Just a thought cause I would like both genders of a pet but I don't always see me getting one because one gender's icon might not be as pretty as the next... like female Draeyl... on all fours with tail up...kinda sexist... amung other things... I don't want my female Draeyl questionable...

Maybe make physical changes as well like in reality. A male deer (A buck) has horns and female deer (A doe) doesn't. Male birds are usually prettier in designs (I know we can choose and breed them so maybe feather length instead) to attract a mate simple things like this with the animal subtypes you have created. Even if its just a simple bone structure difference. Like wider shoulders, longer arms, shorter, or taller even. Just an idea.

Edit: I went to look at the creatures more and noticed some do have subtle changes.

As far as the many poses goes, that really won't be possible for the foreseeable future. Our pets (and avatars) are very complex and are dozens of 'pieces' put together to create the final image. If we were to have a secondary of a pet, we would need a copy of every single one of those pieces.

So, art-wise, that'd be having someone draw each every color/gene/mutation/shading/lines/etc for the alternates all over again which would be very costly.

And code-wise, it'd be a ton of work to build in. Our image builder file is already really complicated lol. If we make it too complicated, images will take forever to load (and make Krin go insane).

Also...with the female Draeyl thing...definitely wasn't made at all to be sexist or anything like that. That's never even crossed my mind at all when looking at females lol. So sorry that you view them that way...definitely is not the intention. x_x

I completely understand about the cost thing to hire someone to do all that. An alternative is maybe adding a flip option so the creatures can actually face battle? That is a huge pet peeve to me. Because some of the creatures they are representing would never want there back to a fight. It would be easy to code in and it wouldn't take any longer to load then it normally would.

@Amyrose,

They already should be facing the correct directions in battle. Are they not for you?
