I've never seen Cowboy Bebop. What's it about? Is it worth watching?

It's like futuristic bounty hunter-ish if I remember correctly... If you're into action stuff like that you're gonna like it! I loved it when I was a kid, but the show stopped in my country... So I've never watched till the end...
EDIT: Some of the OST were sung by Steve Conte. IT'S AMAZING.

I didn't know it existed until a few days ago when I saw some random gifs on FunnyJunk. I don't think it's ever been on TV here. How old is it?
