I noticed these boards are rather... deserted, but hope that doesn't mean there are few people on this site that role play.

I'm really just looking for one or two people who would be interested in doing a one on one style role play, preferably over PMs. I've never really been on for group role plays, has never interested me very much.

Things I like;

• Paragraph style replies
I'm not asking for novels, but I ask that you at least give me something to work with. I get really bored otherwise and stop wanting to reply.
• Non-modern settings
Futuristic settings are kind of pushing it for me as well, technology isn't something I really enjoy role playing, for whatever reason.
• Loose plots
I usually don't like heavily constructed plots. I usually prefer either winging things entirely or coming up with something of interest that's going on in the world so that the both of us can build off of it as either of us see fit. Tends to keep things fresher that way.
• Medieval Fantasy
Taken in a rather non-historical sense. I like medieval as a general setting because there is no technology and I just find it fits better with fantasy for me. I'm very open to what is considered fantasy and am very "anything goes" when it comes to things like magic and such.
This is mainly what I'm wanting to do at the moment.
• Pokemon
With original, non-canon characters. And trainers only, at that.
Not really in the mood for this, but you can convince me with a good idea.
• Animal-related
Warriors, Wolves, quad, anthro... There's a lot that falls under this. Haven't done this kind of stuff since I started role playing ages ago.
Even less in the mood for this
• Suggestions
I'm generally open to trying new things, so if you've got something you really like doing, feel free to suggest it. Please try and keep in mind the things I've listed below that I'm really not fond of role playing.

• "Chat plays"
I.E. Bruce: -walks into room-
Lanny: "Hi!!!!"
Ect, ect, ect.
• Randomness
I'm not super serious about my role plays but really not a fan of the "LAWL, SO RANDOM XD" kind of stuff. I'm fine with things being humorous but not... that kind of random.
• These Topics/Genres
- Fandoms.
I'm okay with using the plot or story idea from a TV show or book or movie or whatever, but don't like using the original characters from the whatever. Characters we use must be non-canon and created by us with no relation/connection to the original characters from the whatever. Please also keep in mind I've not watched many animes or read many mangas.
- Homestuck
Just... no. I cannot even begin to express how much I dislike this comic/whatever. So I won't.
- Modern
Be it high school, random pairings (sisterxbrother, complete oppositexcomplete opposite) or otherwise, I get too bored in modern settings.
