If the eggs are not genetically tested, you can't see the exact time (if you want to get them tested and don't have any one-use genetic test kits (you get some with the newbie pack I think?), many people who have the exceptional genetic test kit (a one-off purchase from the diamond shop) offer free genetic testing in the groups, guilds, clubs, and services subforum

Eggling-hood lasts between 0 maturity hours and 72 maturity hours. 1 mh is equivalent to 1 hour, but you can skip mh aging (via nurturing for egglings/hatchlings and via magical pies for adolescents) so they don't strictly align. It's the mh that determines what life stage a pet is in.
(a pet at 72 mh will remain at 72 mh/ready for manual hatching state for 24 hours, at which point it will autohatch with no bonuses that manual hatching could give. Once hatched the pet will add the missed amount of mh to its mh counter

Without them being tested, you can make a guess at how old a Tamed (found) egg is by its image- a shell with no cracks like yours all have is between 0 and 14 Maturity Hours- since Found eggs can have any number of maturity hours already.
If the egg was made via breeding or fest activity, its mh will align with its age in hours, so long as it hasn't recieved enough nurtures to skip any maturity hours.

We go fairly in-depth in this guide post (post 5, On the Nurturing of Sylesti, if images cause it to skip around some while it loads)

Not dumb at all, it can be confusing at first ^-^

The default time it takes for Egglings to hatch/become Hatchling is 3 days (72 hours), it can be shorten if it was Nurtured a few times by others, but I can't recall the exact numbers.

Hatching an egg takes about 3 days from the time you bred it.

When it's ready to hatch it'll give you a notification in your hatchery and you can choose to hatch it, which you should (it gives it a little bonus boosted stats I think), or if you don't, it'll automatically hatch a little later that day.

It takes three days for an egg to hatch and you'll get a little notification on the top right corner (a number next to the yellow egg symbol). If you hatch it within 24 hours of the notification then you get a bonus to the stats. Otherwise it'll hatch on its own without a bonus.

The bonus you get depends on the action you pick - 'help break egg' gives bonus HP, while 'let it hatch' gives +1 to one of the four stats (Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity, Agility) at random. Alternatively, you can use a Philter to boost one (or more!) stats.
