I'm new here so I apologize if I'm missing something obvious, but... is it possible to improve your starter at some point in the game?

for example, this is my starter Rhysi as she currently is:


I like the way she looks a lot! but when I made her, I did so with the idea in mind that one day I'd get my hands on whatever items I needed to get her to look like this:

or alternatively, if I ever figured out how to get the fancy restricted genes, like this:

(nimbus jewelry is such a pretty mutation...)

...but every mutation philter/disruptor I've come across seems to be limited to tamed pets or tamed/bred/exclusive(?) pets, meaning they can't be used on starters. I haven't got the chance to look at a scroll's item description so maybe that's the way to do it, at least for the nimbus jewelry? is there another normal gene item I'm missing that works on starters, or is there no way to add genes to them at all?

(I know even if there is an item it'd probably be easier to just start a breeding project for a similar Sylvorpa with the genes I want, but I kinda wanna spruce up my starter specifically, yknow? I got attached to a salamander, oops.)

at the current time, no, though Krin has mentioned that at some point he wants to do/add more starter-specific stuff
