some of the eggs in the scale shop are like 940 scales, but some are 2,340? Whats the difference like is it a better pet or what

price determines how many trait points the pet will have and how they are assigned (how many vis vs carry)
see scale shop science thread for price:tp breakdown (link is to the more compressed list on page 4, but there's a larger list with example pets for assorted price points in the first post of the thread)
stats are regular base wild-tier on all scale shop eggs
