Hiya!
This question has probably been asked before but for the life of me I can't find an answer:
How are colors of the different traits passed down from parent to child? Does it take the two parents' RGB values for a given trait and just pick a random color between them? Are Red, Blue, & Green randomized individually? Or does it take a random color between the two hexes as a whole?
I want to know how the numbers factor into this stuff so I can better understand how to breed desired colors. I'm aware of the color swing factor, but not how that affects the RGB values either in terms of numbers!

we go into it in detail here (bottom of post 10)
but basically it does it like the stats- picking from the range between the parents' numbers-, doing the R, G, and B of each slot separately
Colour swing isn't involved with breeding offspring, just when using dyes
