I got the message saying my pet had picked up a scent to the northwest so I went to find the egg. I went to where I thought it would be and I got an angel instead. I looked all over the forest and found nothing.

Either I'm cursed or this is just a bug because I've had this happen before in the Halloween event. Found a rare enemy, went to fight it, and instead I got 3 special enemies and no theme. :/

The Angels would have no connection to Nests. It's two completely different systems. I see that you currently do have a Sylesti Nest active in The Lost Grove as of 9 hours ago.

Regarding the encounter - are you saying that you entered a battle against 3 Angels? If this happens again, can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing in the logs and on screen?

Also, I wouldn't think there'd be any similarities to the Fall Festival Event. The Lost Grove and Festival Zones use entirely different code sets.
