Introduction

Deep in the shadows, the silence stirred.
A creature lingered, unseen, unheard.
Its eyes like embers, glinting with dread.
Untold secrets of the lives that it led.
Abandonment draped like a veil over the night.
Fading echoes of laughter blend into spite.
Each footstep uncertain, on paths lost and cold.
Where hope once flourished, now stories untold.
What dreams have been shattered, what bonds saw their last?
In its haunting embrace, vengeance takes flight from the past.
This being remains as a fragment of gloom.
Lost in the silence, its anger starts to bloom.



Chapter 1



Silver hid in the bushes, ready to pounce. He heard the sound of footsteps and readied himself. Finally, I can catch something. As the sound neared, Silver leapt off his feet and pounced on his prey. He missed by an inch and the rabbit scurried away. He groaned and thought about how many times he had missed his prey. Time to hurry back to the academy I guess. No progress. Silver turned around and followed the path, the path hed walked many times before. Halfway, something caught his eye. Something shiny and enchanting. He had been taught not to be attracted to things you find in random places, but he just had to take a look at this.

Chapter 2

What is this? Silver walked slowly and cautiously towards the shiny orb. As he got closer though, the orb began to shine brightly and he started to feel a spark of energy in him. Finally, he reached out one paw and tapped the orb.

Silver saw an immensely bright light that dazzled his eyes. He closed his eyes and began to hear words.

In whispers of the dawn, a tale is spun.
Of a soul adorned by stars, when light begun.
Marked by fate's intricate design
To tread the path where shadows entwine.
With courage forged in the fires of doubt.
A heart beats loud, defiant, and stout.
They walk through chaos, while darkness sprawls.
The weight of worlds held in their calls.
Each step a promise against despair's crutch.
A glimmering thread of hope that won't such.
In cities silent with echoes of pain.
Their voice rises like thunder before the rain.

What? Who is talking? And who is it talking about? Silver shook his head and blinked. He felt heavy, but as if he had power. He opened his eyes and gasped. Silver was no longer the disappointing, poor Silver he knew.

Chapter 4

Silver looked down at himself and was shocked to the bone. He was wearing armor and a helm. He also had wings and sparkle runes.



Am I hallucinating? Am I hearing things? But before he could think, something crashed into him and knocked him on a tree stump.

Chapter 5

It didnt hurt as much as it should have, but maybe that was because he had armor. Silver leapt back up and looked at his enemy.



A Nyvene! I havent seen one in years! The Nyvene looked much stronger than him though. Maybe if he tried to talk and figure things out, he wouldnt have to fight her. Who are you? Silver shouted. Why did you attack me? The Nyvene snorted in annoyance and sent forth a demonic essence to attack Silver. He didnt move in time to dodge the projectile and instead got hit.

It felt as if all power was drained out of him. All hope, energy, his whole life. How could it be so strong? Silver had to prove that he was strong enough, he had to defeat her! He slowly gained consciousness and opened his eyes just in time to see her whack him with her tail. This time, Silver dodged the hit and countered by scratching her underbelly. The Nyvene staggered back and expanded her wings to steady herself. Id rather not fight you, but I have no choice if you keep attacking me, he stated. Do you really think you can defeat the Shadow? Hah! She exclaimed in a strange, cold, hoarse voice. The Shadow? Silver had no idea what the Nyvene was talking about. Youll understand soon enough, that is, if you survive this! She took a deep breath and roared forth a jet of black fire.
