Rules/Info:
~Any Mary Sues can and will be kicked out. Please do not be a Mary Sue, nobody likes them.
~Abide by the Sylestia forum rules please.
~ You may kill off characters, but be reminded that yours can be killed too!
~ Most of the time, ask to kill a character.
~up to 3 characters per person, but you don't have to add them all at once and dead characters can be replaced with new ones.
~you can PM me at any time during the Roleplay if you have any questions or if you want to start a "behind the scenes" plot twist.
~Npc's can be controlled by anyone!
~ If you want anything special or secret to your character, ask me first.
~ Please, no spoilers. I have read all WoF books, but maybe some other people have not. So, please, do not spoil anything.
~ This RP takes place in the War of SandWing Succesion. Do not mention anything other than this plotline.
~ Please ask to have your dragon as a hybrid.
~ Your OC in the rp will not be related to the queen or dragonets of destiny. They will be completely original characters.
~ The max amount of members will be 6. I think if I allow more people, it would be very chaotic.

A NightWing's Guide to the Dragons of Pyrrhia

~ SandWings ~

Description: pale gold or white scales the color of the desert sand; poisonous barbed tail, forked black tongues
Abilities: can survive a long time without water, poison enemies with the tips of their tails like scorpions, bury themselves for camouflage in the desert sand, breathe fire,
Queen: Since the death of Queen Oasis, the tribe is split between three rivals for the throne: sisters Burn, Blister, and Blaze.
Alliances: Burn fights alongside SkyWings and MudWings; Blister is allied with the SeaWings; and Blaze has the support of most SandWings as well as an alliance with the IceWings.


~ MudWings ~

Description: thick, armored brown scales, sometimes with amber and gold underscales; large, flat heads with nostrils at the top of the snout.
Abilities: can breathe fire (if warm enough), hold their breath for over an hour, can blend into large mud and puddles, usually very strong
Queen: Queen Moorhen
Alliances: currently allied with Burn and the SkyWings in the great war

~ SkyWings ~

Description: red-gold or orange scales, enormous wings
Abilities: very powerful fighters and fliers, can breathe fire,
Queen: Queen Scarlet
Alliances: currently allied with Burn and the MudWings in the great war


~ SeaWings ~

Description: blue or green or aquamarine scales; webs between their claws; gills on their necks; glow-in-the-dark stripes on their tails/snouts/underbellies
Abilities: can breathe underwater; see in the dark, create huge waves with one splash of their tails; excellent swimmers
Queen: Queen Coral
Alliances: currently allied with Blister in the great war

~ RainWings ~

Description: scales constantly shift colors, usually bright like birds of paradise; prehensile tails,
Abilities: can camouflage their scales to blend into their surroundings, use their prehensile tails for climbing, no known natural weapons
Queen: Queen Dazzling
Alliances: not involved in the great war

~ IceWings ~

Description: silvery scales like the moon or pale blue like ice; ridged claws to grip the ice; forked blue tongues, tails narrow to whip-end
Abilities: can withstand sub-zero temperatures and bright light, exhale a deadly freezing breath
Queen: Queen Glacier
Alliances: currently allied with Blaze and most of the SandWings in the great war

~ NightWings ~

Description: purplish-black scales and scattered silver scales on the underside of their wings, like a night sky full of stars; forked black tongues
Abilities: can breathe fire, disappear into dark shadows, read minds, foretell the future,
Queen: a closely guarded secret
Alliances: to mysterious and powerful to be involved in the great war

Backstory: Starsight was born in the Night Kingdom but her family had died during the war. She was always the weird outsider who had weird powers, even though NightWings were told to have weird powers. She always singled herself away from other dragons, thinking they would make fun of her too. (This isn't a very good backstory, usually I'm pretty good at making these lol.)

May I join? I haven't read any of the wings of fire books but maybe this might make me want to start reading them lol. Also, are all of the characters children or does age work differently for dragons? Also, are there any half-breed dragons, like one parent was from one group and one is from the other?

Ooo, I'll join! I've been wanting to use Cass in an RP for a while. Not my main OC, but I still love her :)

Name: Cassowary, called Cass by her close friends
Tribe: Sea/Rain hybrid
Personality: Sarcastic, reserved, and distrustful. She was traumatized after her time on the nightwing island and doesnt have many friends.
Gender: Female, She/Her pronouns
Age: 8
Family: Her father, Toucan, who she has a pretty good relationship with.
Backstory: (This is an OLLLD character and I did have to change her backstory a little because Cassowary, like all of my characters, technically lives in a AU with a contest similar to the Hunger Games.)
Cassowary was raised in the Rainforest Kingdom. Her mother had been a Seawing explorer who had gone to the rainforest in search of a fabled treasure. She met Toucan, and they soon fell in love as they searched for the treasure, which turned out to not exist at all. They settled down in the Rainwing village and had one egg, but Cassowary's mother died of a mysterious illness before her egg hatched.
Even though Rainwings don't "do" parents, everyone knew Cassowary was Toucan's daughter. She received quite a bit of hate for being a hybrid, and was branded as an outcast. Cassowary often escape to tiny corners of the rainforest for quiet and solitude, and spent most suntimes alone.
When Cassowary was six, she was captured by Nightwings and taken to the volcano. She became a very interesting test subject as her scales couldn't change color. Mastermind eventually deducted that she was a hybrid through careful observation. When Glory rescued the Rainwings (End of The Dark Secret) a Nightwing guard found her and tore her wing membranes in anger. Overcome with pain, Cassowary was barely able to escape.

Other: Can't fly due to tears in wings.
Abilities:
-Can shoot a weak venom, but the only scales of hers that can change color are the seawing ones on her face.
-Can swim pretty well due to seawing tail, but cannot breathe underwater
-Very agile
(really want to put some of my other characters in here but they don't really fit into tribes. For example, I've got an OC named Circus who's a cursed tribeless puppet dragon who kind of looks like a rainwing. Might still shove some old characters in here at some point though)

Approved! I know of a pic you can use for Cass also. Search "wof deviantart kenyajoy cotinga" and there's a cool Sea/Rain hybrid you can use. Or if you want to use something else that's fine.

You may join, but which tribe do you want your hybrid to be in? And no the characters are not children. Age works differently in dragon years. For example, 6 years in dragon years is 12.5 years in human age. 7 years is 14, etc.

Family: her best friend, an owl (Henry)
Backstory: was raised by an older NightWing, who was caring about her, Moonspell didn't really care about having no parents, she liked being alone. Once she saw an injured little owl. Some kind Moonspell felt a connection to the animal, so she took care of him, until he felt better. At this day, Henry and Moonspell got known to each other.. and got best friends

Abilities: can blend into shadows, some kind of telekinesis (she uses this ability to throw stones at others), knows a lot of facts and many more jokes, can breathe fire

Awesome! I'm planning on uploading my own art, but if that doesn't work for whatever reason Cotinga is a solid backup :)
