The universes are in trouble by an unseen force. And only a few brave heroes and their animal companions can fight this threat. Do they have what it takes?
Backstory:
Spent her childhood away from an Old Reader father who was afraid of his rivals targeting his daughter before he brought her back from the hospital after an illness that left her largely unconscious for several days. Alec is fully aware of what her father does, and she looks up to, loves, and learns from him anyways.
Likes: Curls up on a coach to read e-books and webnovels during thunderstorms. Loves candy and tea but holds her drink like nobodys business. Finds paperwork and other tasks related to organization relaxing. Puts on makeup every morning and makes sure all of her outfits match because looking good is the first priority.
Dislikes: Takes being assigned mundane work as an insult to her talent. Hates swimming or any sort of exercise that leaves her panting despite how often she works out or does them because it feels like suffocating.
Fears: The fear of needles and fear of getting sick. Fear of being alone.
Equipment: Unarmed
(///)
Name: Gwyneth, the Everlasting Watcher of the Worlds Beyond
Gender: Female (She/Her/It)
Franchise: The Forbidden Library
Appearance:
A fluffy white moth-like creature, small enough to sit on a shoulder. Its fur glows with a faint luminescence, strongest in the pair of stubby, fuzz-covered antennae that sprout from its head. Its legs are similar to its antennae in appearance, if a bit longer, and its four wings are long and slender with black specks, starting near the middle and growing denser near the outer wing.
Backstory:
A monster that thrived in the space between planes, pen ever-moving and ever-recording as universes spun around her. Her power would allow other creatures to settle near folds in the fabric of reality, where energy bled from one subworld into another. One of the creatures was sealed away by the Readers, and after subjugating it, Alec discovered Gwyneth. After dueling, the two awoke in a different universe with their powers bound.
Likes: Loves old maps, books, and handmade texts. Is enraptured with stars or any bright light, especially if the backdrop is dark or if the light flickers.
Dislikes: Regards birds as noisy, egotistical pests.
Fears: Fear of the rain and getting wet, probably also a germaphobe.
Powers: Light-Manipulation and Flight. Is currently sealed in baby form with her powers subsequently weakened.
Your characters are unconcious and wake up together in a large locked roomx

The world spins through glistening facets as Alec sits up, a hand reaching up to cradle her forehead through sweat-tangled hair. Her glasses sent on top her of nose, lenses cracked and frame squished.
She suppresses the panic that sweeps through her at her unfamiliar surroundings with years of practice reading, turning the energy towards shifting through her mind for the trill of fire and freedom that signifies ash-hawk, ready to pull and abandon human myopia.
And comes up empty.
No, not empty. There's a foreign feeling left; one that leaves her hungry for more, reaching for understanding that dances out of her touch.
Dark eyes flicker open, and the reader touches the bundle of white fur huddled at her sign. Gwyneth, which means that she's not entirely helpless.

(. . . Wow. Just, wow.
You are one of the best RPERS Ive ever seen, and weve only just started! Oh, Im excited to see how thisll go. :D)
Then Alec noticed something else in the corner of the room. A slumped over human male, and a large reptillian animal laying next to him.

(Thanks! I've been looking forward to this too, and is that a dragon rider I spy? :D Looking forward to getting to know your character.)
Gathering her feet underneath her, Alec lurches upright.
She's free to move around the room and so are the duo beside her, which is enough to tell her that someone is incredibly confident in their security. There's a lot scaly creatures out there, but none of them are something she'd trust enough to leave unrestrained and unsupervised.
If Alec was on the other side of these walls, she wouldn't even trust herself. After all, if she'd found herself in a locked room even three days ago, she would have shifted, squeezed out through the gap under the door, and escaped with none the wiser.
As it is, she calls out, voice raspy around the edges, "Do you know how we got here?" No need to ask anything too difficult, not until she's sure he won't panic.

The person lurched and looked around in confusion, before revealing themselves as they rose. They were revealed to be a teenage human guy with black hair, brown eyes, and a buff build. The dragon itself was large and white, with glimmering scales.
(Its a Light Fury from HTTYD.)

(Oh, I love HTTYD! I've watched the moves several times, but Race to the Edge is definitely what got me into it. Seeing so many new species is fun, though I have a definite soft spot for the classics.)
Large, white, and menacing rises up from the ground, and Alec circles around to put its trainer between her and the dragon. The teenager has several inches and many more more pounds on her, but the reader will take that over an unfamiliar creature any day of the week.
A blossom of warmth pulses under her breastbone like a second heartbeat, and she cajoles it with an experienced touch of the mind. Gwyneth stirs, a shivering of pale fuzz, and Alec feels herself relax at the assurance.
"Are you okay?" She asks, looking at the now awakened teen. He don't seem to have any visible injuries, but that doesn't discount the possibility of ones that are internal or in the process of healing.

(Ive loved it for years. I got into it through the books, but fell in love with it when I watched the first movie. I also happen to enjoy Race to the Edge too!)
He shook himself and looked over. *yeah, Im fine. My names Vogt, by the way. And the dragon your currently blocking is my best friend, Moonlight.*
(Hey, have you read the Inheritance cycle? Seems like you would be into that kinda thing.)

( Wait HTTYD books? I've never heard about them before! How much content have I been missing out on!
Also yep I've read all four books in Inheritance! The magic is pretty cool, and the antagonist relationship between Eragon and whoever rode the red dragon was a lot of fun. For some reason, my favorite characters from the series are all side characters, but they were developed really well in my defense!)
"Sorry about that," Alec says with a shrug of the shoulder, "but I'm not used to being around anything... tame." She's not used to being around tame people either, so she adds, "And I mean no offense when I say that. I'm simply saying that you'd trust Moonlight around other people."

(Its actually not really related to the movies. Theyre made by Cressida Cowell and are what inspired the movies to be made! Highly recommend. Theyre quick reads, but the later books get long, complicated, and awesome.
Heres links to the book series on Amazon, plus a bonus one listing the dragons in the series)
And I figured that you read that series, seems like you would)
He blinked and nodded slowly. *. . . Alright. Any idea where we are?*
The dragon then growled, slowly waking up.

[Oo, I'll definitely be checking some of them out later. At the very least, the dragon list should be helpful for making OCs. :,)]
A single brow raises uninhibited; a clear cut no. If she was conscious and able to judge locations, then she wouldn't have been here. Or, at the very least, she wouldn't be here unprepared.
Still unprepared doesn't mean hapless. Brown eyes drift over the the door, noting that the absence of hinges and handles, and Alec leans in.
"I may not have an idea about where we are," she says whisper-soft, "but I do have an idea on how to get out. Go give the walls a knock, and see if you can tell what they're made of?"
