** This is a role-play using your avatars as characters. Your character may travel with a Sylesti or two but lets not get it too crowded. This is set in Sylestia, so everything from myconids, zombies and fairies all exist just like they do in the game.

** You do NOT need to post a "character sheet" before entering. What's the fun of learning about someone's character if all their info is posted on sheet beforehand?

** You may not manipulate someone's characters, no one controls your character but you. But also, no god-moding if a fight breaks out.

** Avoid short, one line posts, and use proper spelling and grammar. We all slip, but mistakes should be the exception not the rule.

It was getting colder now, the grass was crystallized with frozen dew. Night was waning, the dark sky giving way to scatters of pink and orange. It was a beautiful morning for any who cared to appreciate it, though for one, the brilliant colors did little to brighten his mood.

The gaze of one in particular, as it scanned over the graveyard, was narrowed to a slit as the gorgeous night gave way to such a filthy dawn and its terrible colors. At least they would soon be replaced with a gentle blue, with lots of grey clouds if he was lucky.

The man himself, if he could be called that, certainly looked the part of someone who would be spending his morning in the cold cemetery. He was tall, lithe, with sharp features and an even sharper gaze. The hair that rested on his head and chin was a striking black, matching most of his attire. From the back of his skull clad robes, two large wings sat idle, folded neatly against his shoulders. Paired with the horns atop his head and the slight point to his ears, it was obvious the man was no human.

Crunch, crunch crunch, his footsteps on the frozen grass was one of the only sounds to be heard in the stillness of the ghastly place. So quiet now that the damned festival was over... Every year they came, they flooded the place like a plague hunting down Sylestis that they felt were "rare" or "special" enough. They slaughtered zombies without bothering to clean up after themselves, leaving the mess for Black to deal with once they had left. Inconsiderate fools. This was a place for the dead, not for their stupid obsessions.

In recent days, however, it had been quite nice. Quiet, and calm enough for him to come out from the shadows to enjoy the company of the only one that mattered to him; himself. With his back to the rising sun, Black sat upon a large tombstone and hummed softly, red eyes scanning the dark horizon, appreciating every moment of darkness that was left as it slowly gave way to the dawn.

((My character hasn't been exploring so she doesn't have any fighting skills. I hope that's okay. She's more like the character that someone falls in love with and then has to protect throughout the rest of the role play :)))

Sarah hasn't been to see her mom since she dies, it was to dangerous to venture to the graveyard. Today was her mothers birthday so she had to make an exception. She reached her mothers grave and sat down on the damp grass. I only took her a few seconds before she started crying. It only has been three years and Sarah was barely living. Her life doesn't feel complete, she was lost in a dark black abyss with nobody to help her out.

((That's fine, I'm not looking for a fight, I just wanted to lay some ground rules in case it happens. Black can be temperamental, as you might find)

The cold of night left his fingertips slowly as the rising sun cast rays of warming light across the cemetery. A stagnant look remained on Black's face as he watched the last bits of darkness faded away. A gentle sigh, followed by a shift in weight, brought him to his feet.

The sound of sobbing caught him by surprise... who would be here this early? None of his business, really.. besides, the mere sight of him was enough to make someone cry out even worse. Still curiosity was peaked. Perhaps he could get close enough to see what was going on - after all, it was possible that someone was hurt. Maybe there was still some of those zombies kicking around from that headless horseman goon's ritual.

He was careful as he approached, trying to remain unseen as he came closer. No undead in sight, but instead a young woman. He frowned slightly, watching her cry. This really was none of his business... He turned slowly, about to leave, when a frozen stick became caught beneath his foot.

Sarah looked up from her mom's grave to see a weird looking man standing beside her. She immediately grabbed a long stick and ran at him. She knew these parts were dangerous and she didn't want to be any ones meal. She didn't want to visit her mom just yet.

Black blinked as the woman saw him, then once more as she came at him. He was often, avoided, occasionally feared, but for someone to so blatantly come at him was... well, different to say the least.

"Interesting.." he mumbled softly under his breath as she came towards him. If she was planning on hitting him with the stick, then so be it. Red eyes narrowed and the man braced himself, ready for whatever this stranger was willing to dish out.

Sarah smacked him across the face hard enough with her stick to snap it in half, but the man didn't seem to look fazed at all. She began trying to beat him and stab him with the smaller parts of whats left of the stick. "Why won't you just die or something!" She yelled.

He took the blow to the face, wincing slightly but not returning the attack. One hand lashed out, grabbing hold of the weapon as she stabbed it towards him.

"That's rude... do you always greet new people this way," he hissed slightly, his wings shot up threateningly, though he still did not attack her. He kept a firm grip on the stick, not wrenching it from her grasp, but being certain she did not manage to pull it away from him either.

Sarah flinched when he grabbed the stick. "Only people I feel that are dangerous to me, I don't want to end up like her." She said and nodded to her mothers grave. "To trusting or scared to do the unthinkable and you'll end up in the ground." Sarah said and gave the stick a hard pull. "Now be a doll and let go!"

"If you say so," he waited until she yanked hard on the stick, then released it quickly, wondering if she'd manage to catch herself. Stepping back quickly, the strange man took the opportunity to put a bit of space between them.

"Are you quite finished with your temper tantrum, miss?" He raised the back of his hand to his cheek, noting a thin line of blood that had surfaced from being struck across the face.

Sarah caught herself on one of the tombstones but managed to scrape her leg bad enough to bleed. "Now look what you've done. Who are you anyways!?" She asked pulling out a healing potion and applying some to her hurt leg. She was very angry at him for letting her fall, but a little happy that he hasn't straight out attacked her yet... Maybe he isn't out to hurt anyone.
