im not sure if its a glitch or if i did something wrong, but i used a mutation philter on my pet indigo (who had jewled horns visible already) and nothing seemed to happen....

i was really hopeing to add a gene to her....

The gene is carried, so it's not visible. You won't know which one it is unless you have your sylesti tested by someone. That shouldn't be too hard, there's always one or two people willing to do it for you if you dare enter the chatroom and ask politely.
