When most people think "Aeridini", they think of energetic, playful, brightly colored, pretty Sylesti, like these:




Most don't know about the dark ones, the ones that scare children, the ones that hunt you in the night, they don't picture these:













But once they meet one, "Aeridini" is never "Bright and playful" again.

Faelora:


Natural:
When people first came to the Forest of Wonder, they found many an odd species of animal, including this type of Faelora. One person decided to stay in the Forest.


First Stage corrupt:
Soon, a small village grew on the edge of the Forest, and the people living there noticed a change in the local animals, mostly the Faelora, but it was believed to be a welcoming sign.


Second stage corrupt:
The village grew larger, not quite a town yet, but they noticed another change in the Faelora as the creatures became hunted.


Third stage corrupt:
The village became a small town, and the Faelora, among the others, became hunted more frequently. They became harder to find, although when found, they had an even greater change.


Fourth Stage Corrupt:
The town became larger, and consumed a good portion of the Forest, and the townspeople relied on the animals in the Forest of Wonder as food, and after a month of this, the Faelora looked even stranger.


Fifth Stage Corrupt:
Soon the town became a city, and took up half of the land where the Forest once stood, and the scarceness of the Faelora became greater, and when one was found, it had a frightening appearance.


Final Stage corrupt:
The city grew, and consumed the entire forest, until none of it remained. They no longer relied on local animals for food, as they had a great trade system. Some of the citizens reported being hunted in the night by creatures unrecognizable. Was this what had become of those Faelora?
