I'm seriously struggling with the guardian. By turn 5-6, it can OHKO any of my pets including my tank and I have no idea how to prevent this.

I'm running fully ranked max/supermax shadow/light/air with +2/+3 primordial armour. Temple of light and Training Grounds are both at rank 4, Trading Post is at rank 3 but I'm reluctant to waste ent flasks until I have the strategy more solidly nailed down. I'm working on ranking a supermax water/air/air team as well, but that's going to take some time.

Ancient Temple Guardian is a balance between doing as much damage to him as you possibly can without making him do more damage to you than you can handle. The harder you hit him, the harder he hits you back.

I find using an Earth pet makes him a lot easier since the Earth pet can taunt and then just mitigate through a lot of his damage. However, I think a Shadow pet would be able to accomplish much of the same. Although, it might be a bit more RNG dependent with the Shadow pet since you'll be relying on avoided hits instead of raw mitigation.

The longer the fight goes, the more mitigation the Ancient Temple Guardian gets, so it makes the fight a lot harder when it goes on for a long time.

I think my strategy against him was to build as much mana as I could at the start and then as soon as he first hits max Mana, I'd pop all of my offensive cooldowns and burn through him as hard as I could. As soon as his shield drops, he's going to rock someone. So you want to make sure he's taunted and whoever your taunter is has their good defensive cooldowns going to avoid dying. From there, I just try and burn him down before he hits full mana again.

He probably is one of the more dynamic fights in regards to how players handle him. I imagine everyone uses a bit of a different strategy based on their party makeup and pet progression.
