Corwin looked toward Alderic and his eyes calmed the glowing. He looked down. "Oh sorry. I do that when I have... Well, when I'm feeling down or have feelings-" Corwin stopped at the word. He didn't want to say it. "Uh... When I'm, let's say, have different emotions about things. Let's not talk about it." he said. He looked up at Alderic with his eyebrows arched high. "What? Oh no, it's fine Alderic. I wouldn't want to hurt you." he said. He sighed. "May we just change the topic?"

(Sorry, I forgot about Kaya and Azura. XD)

Azura smiled. "That's cool! I love music and would do anything to get time to play it." she said. "Classical is my most favorite. I also play the flute." she said, pulling out a shiny silver flute from her bag. "I just the violin more often." she said, placing the flute on the table.

Lily smiled up at Eniko. "It's totally fine! It's just a little phobia." she said. She listened to Eniko's next comment. "I've seen... A bunch of them. I'm not sure how many." she said. "They were very tall." she added. She noticed an empty table where they would be able to sit. "How about we sit there?" she asked her friend, pointing at the chairs.

Asher fiddled his backpack in his lap while Tadi was talking. "Hm, interesting." he said. He looked up. "I've never actually seen a real human. I don't know what they're like. All I've heard were rumors and such." he said. His stomach rumbled when he talked. He laughed. "Major thunderstorm heading out way!" he said with a chuckle.

Lorelei looked up, surprised. A girl with red hair had walked up and asked if she could sit with her. Lorelei shuffled in her chair, unsure of what to say. "Um... Yeah, I guess." she said. "Hi Jennifer. I'm Lorelei." she said. She looked down. "Stop acting awkward, Lorelei! she yelled in her head. "This is an opportunity to know someone when you're in school!" Lorelei calmed herself. "So... What class are you in?" she asked, somewhat stupidly.

Bella froze. She heard a voice coming from right beside her. She looked up to find a girl in blue talking to her. She noticed a long silence between them, and didn't want to be rude. "Um... Hello." she started, hoping the girl wouldn't think she was weird. She glanced at her sketchbook and back at the girl. "This is what I get when I sit alone drawing, right?" she thought. Wanting to slap herself, she said, "Yeah... Thank you. It's that flower over there." she said, her finger pointing to the lonely flower. "I- I'm Bella." she said.

"Why do you even care?" Keegan replied bitterly, resisting the urge to groan. This girl just didn't get it did she. "It's none of your concern so quit asking." He felt bad, knowing he would have upset Ilandere, but was sick off the questions. He didn't want to be thinking about his family so early into the start of school. This was supposed to be a fresh start for him, and already he was going back to his normal harsh self without even meaning to. He closed his eyes tightly and leaned backwards, trying not to get any madder.

"Oh, sure," Eniko said, forgetting about even sitting down until now. She took a seat and tightly clasped her hands in her lap, avoiding the eyes of anyone else in the room aside from Lily. "There are hardly any humans where I live... lived..." she morosely stated, remembering home. "And we never saw any of the ones that were around either. Our parents always kept us away from them."

Tadi joined in with Asher's laughter. "hmmm yeah. I hope they have some food to eat here. And decent food too!" he replied, looking around the room for any signs of food. "I swear if they don't serve orange juice here, I may cry!" Tadi grinned happily, keeping an eye out for his sister too.

Corwin looked at where Alderic had pointed. "Oh yeah, sure." he said. "Let's go." Corwin walked up to the seats and took his seat. He let his chin rest in his hand, staring off into the mess hall. His eyes had wandered off to a girl dressed in pink. He stared with amazement in his eyes, totally forgetting that he was with Alderic.

"That's great! I played the piccolo once, but I like the flute better for some reason." Azura said. "I can't wait to start playing! I'd play here, but everyone would be watching." she said, getting excited. She looked at Kaya with a grin. "So you sing. Then, what do you sing?" she asked, trying to sound polite.

Lily looked down at her shoes then back up at Eniko. "It's good that they kept you away from them. My parents couldn't even try. I mean, I bet they did, but didn't succeed or something." she said, feeling a little low. She raised her head and smiled. "But that's all in the past now." she said, feeling warm. "I'm ready for the present and beyond!"

"I'd probably cry too if they had no apple juice! Or any juice really! I love juice!" Asher said happily. The thought had made him thirsty. "But I just want a good breakfast." he said. Asher saw Tadi look around. "You looking for someone?" he asked.

Corwins eyes couldn't lay off the girl for some reason. It was like he was hypnotized. He saw Alderic's hand waving furiously in front of his face. He blinked and looked up at Alderic. "W-what?" he asked. He turned back to the girl he was staring at before. "I was just... distracted." he said, turning back to Alderic. "Were you saying something?"

Azura looked down. "Um... For me it would." she said quietly. She fiddled with her fingers. "Cool..." she said. half not even listening to her. She was half hurt by her comment? "Does she even know what it's like to be embarrassed?" she asked herself.

Alderic tried to act irritated, but it didn't end up quite right and he groaned at himself, "I was just asking if you wanted to bet that that girl," He points to the girl in pink, "Is going to be in our class. Then I said 'I'll bet you a dinner with my family and a free back stage show at our circus.'" Alderic shook his head, at the whole situation. "Man! You were really 'distracted'. I said this to you twice!" Alderic hoped Corwin could hear the laughter in his voice when he said that.

Kaya realized she just screwed up, Great! You're awful at making friends! Heck Kali's better then you are and she's mute! "Oh, sorry. I guess my mother put me in the spotlight too much were I don't even think about it." Kaya twhitles (<Spelling?) her thumbs trying to think of a new subject. "So, have you ever been to an opera?" Hoping that that question would make Azura forget for a moment at least about Kaya saying something about playing music.

Jora shoves Orion with her shoulder, "I'm not hiding!" she turns to face him her smile wide and all signs of her crying gone, "I'm simply moving my head and my hair just happens to 'fall' over my face." This school year's going to be great just so long as I don't lose my cool. That'd be just great, fry your only friend. Her smile sagged slightly at the thought. Hoping he didn't notice she widen her smile even more.

A'ine looked at Ember, "Well, kind of.... He's a winged-horned-hippocampus and I only have a horn." A'ine smiled at the thought of her brother's wings. "He actually hates his wings. They have pink and purple feathers on them." She covered her mouth trying to soften her giggles. "So, Ember, do you like to read anything besides myths and legends?" A'ine asked trying to keep the conversion going. Hopefully, I don't need anybody finding out my secret on the first day. She thinks to herself as the room fills up some more.

Ilandere held her tongue when Keegan said 'the past is in the past'. Instead she reoccupied the seat she had just vacated, "No, you weren't harsh, I was just..... confused." Ilandere giggled politely when Keegan started laughing, not exactly sure what was funny. "As you wish, we will talk about something else." Ilandere thought for a moment, "Keegan, do you like any games?" She asked trying her hardest not to bring up pasts in any way.
