Ember's eyes widened in surprise and she stiffened for a second before relaxing. All her tears came unbidden to her eyes, and she buried her face in A'ine's shoulder. Why was I ever scared of her? I've just been so scared my whole life that I can't tell what's dangerous anymore. She hoped A'ine didn't care that Ember was probably embarrassing her. Why is A'ine being so nice to me? Is this just what friends do? Ember knew that without A'ine she'd probably have run outside, or gave up on school all together. It felt good to have someone she could lean on, besides herself.


Astrid jerked her head up when Izzy called her Miss Ears. She subconsciously reached up to touch her fox ears, as she turned to face him. "Well, I wouldn't want you walking around calling me Miss Ears, so how 'bout calling me Astrid? You guessed right the first time, I'm a kitsune. I like pranking, climbing, and running. Now then, why don't we start an actual conversation? This is getting rather awkward talking about each other." She glances at Jora, noticing her discomfort when she had spoken. Everyone seems to be reluctant to tell each other their past. Well, I can join the secret game. I wonder what their pasts are like. Probably just as bad as mine if they're reluctant to say. She flicked her tail, and turned her ears toward the group.

"Well, I've never really done anything besides swim and journal. So, I love to swim and journal. I think a lot, too. I've never read a book, but I can read. The only other thing that comes to mind is really anything with Izzy. I known him for a few months and in those few months we did practically everything together. My favorite activity is either swimming or journaling. I'm not sure I really want to tell you my past. I'm, I'm not very open about it. You might find this weird, but my favorite foods are actually moss and kelp. I'm a pescetarian. That's really it." Seeing that people are looking and her, she gives a small smile before turning her and and tilting it so her face is covered by her hair while she resumes eating.


"I'm sure you already now what I love, because you could hear me from miles away. My favorite activity is probably playing chase with Aryanna. Most people don't want to because I always change into my monster form. If you don't know the legacy of the Teumessian fox, it's a giant uncatchable fox. It's literally impossible to catch one. It could be two inches away from you, never move, and you wouldn't catch it. It goes against the laws of nature." After pausing thoughtfully he continues "I'm excitable, happy, and generally pretty cheerful. I'm rarely sad, and if I am, it's not for long. I can usually find happiness in most things and love making others happy." No one else said their pasts. They must not feel comfaortable. If it's that bad, I'm not gonna tell em' my happy daisies and love past. He continues "I'm a bit slow, but I'm actually very smart and observant. I train a lot and I'm pretty blunt at times. And because my monster form is a predator, I've got very good instincts." He grins at Orion. "This bluenette saw that first hand today. But I want to hear the story of the chic behind us. The one with the ears and tail. I know she's listening because her ears are angles this way and she shifted so she was facing us more." He turns to her. "So then, Miss Ears, what's your story. If you don't at least tell me if your a kitsune or a Teumessian fox and your name, I may refer to you as Miss Ears; monster type: something foxy." He grins and waits for her to tell her story.


(I forgot to mention Izzy's smart and observant in his description. And I've had this open in a tab since about 6 server time. I just never finished it.)

Jora listen while they told her and Orion about themselves. She sipped her juice, then said "That's got to be cool, having a friend for that long I mean." Opus, now I'll have to explain a little. She thought to herself, "The reason I say that is I seriously haven't had someone I'd consider a friend until this morning." She tried to think of something else to change the subject to before she embarrassed herself to much. "I also think that swimming might be fun. I've never swam before."

A'ine was glad that Ember wasn't mad at her or ran off. Instead she got a slight relieved vibe from her. She stroked her hair a little and let her cry in her shoulder. She lightly pushed Ember away from her and wiped the stray tears from her face. "There, do you feel a little bit better?" She asked smiling a kind smile.

(I'm really sorry for posting REALLY late you guys. :( I couldn't get on the last few days and I was piled up with homework and some other things happened and I couldn't get anything done in time. My mind was just filled up with work I couldn't think of anything else. Again, sorry. Wow, you people posted lots. XD)

Serene flicked her hand at Alderic. "Nah, it's fine. I like being alone." she said in a cool tone. Her eyes darted over to Bella. "You didn't do anything, Bella. It's okay. I mean, being alone all your life practically is not much fun at all... But anyways." she said with a shrug. Serene nodded. "Food would be good at this time. I agree, starved." she said at Corwin. She noticed his cheeks turn pink a he sat beside Bella. "Whoa... Corwin's got a crush!" she thought. She smiled at herself. "I wonder if Alderic noticed..."

Oceanna turned to four other people sitting at the table. (Jora, Aryanna, Orion and Iysytsya... I think.) She wondered why the four of them randomly- or maybe on purpose- joined their table. She nodded at Astrid. "Yeah! We could get them to join us!" she said as she noticed one of the girls looking at the title of her book. Suddenly one of the guys in the group- the one with red hair, spoke to Astrid. She mentally giggled at him calling her, "Miss Ears". Now she actually giggled. "Now, now, Astrid. No need to be feisty with these guys. "Miss Ears" is not a bad nickname... Well, in my opinion." she said. She turned to the group. "So, I hear y'all like to prank." She showed the group the book she held. "Want in?" she asked.

(Hey! No coping my technique! Sorry, I had lots of homework, and only had time to post one character.)
Orion laughed when Izzy called Astrid 'Miss Ears' after it was obvious that Astrid wasn't upset about it. In fact, Astrid seemed to think it was funny as well. When he heard Jora say that she had never swam before he turned to face her. "You gotta try it! Swimming is fun!" When he realized how loud he was, he lowered his voice and said, "Well, in my opinion. I especially like swimming in the ocean." He grinned at the thought of the huge waves pounding the surf. Swimming in the ocean always made him feel so small and powerless. The huge waves could do anything they wanted with him, yet they decided to be friendly, and acted like it was a playfight. He often thought of the ocean as a person, yet he would admit to no one that he would talk to it sometimes. Maybe Jora, Izzy. and Aryanna would learn it someday, but not now. I bet we all have secrets. Jora, hiding what she is. Arynna, Izzy, and now Astrid are refusing to say their pasts.That's one thing we all have in common. Maybe this table will become a regular thing. I'd like that.

(Yup, it's a trend, I'm just procrastinating)

"Well, I don't want in, but I bet Izzy does. Now then, we've got Astrid, Izzy, Orion, Jora, me, Aryanna, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd?" She looks expectantly at the girl with the book. "What's your name, monster type, stuff like that." Pausing, she realizes something. "Wait! Jora, did you ever tell us your monster type? I'm sure you told Orion, but you didn't tell Izzy, Astrid, girl-with-the-book, and me. At least, I don't think you did." She turns to Orion. "And Orion, you said you like to swim. Well, I really want to go for a swim in the lake, so unless someone magically appears and says they're a monster that can swim with me, do you mind?"

"Ari's right, I want in on this prank. Have you decided what it is yet?" He's turns to Astrid. "Astrid, I'm sorry, but in the 30-40 seconds I used your nickname, It grew on me." He sits up and puffs out his chest, trying to look noble. He then continues in a deep voice. "So, from this point henceforth, you are Miss Ears. Have you got that Miss Ears?"

Orion stiffened when Aryanna asked Jora what type of monster she was. He hurries to answer her question so Jora won't have to answer the other question. "That'd be fun! What type of monster are you? You might have said it, but with my 5-second memory span, I probably forgot," he jokes. I hope Jora has the courage to answer that at some point. None of the people here are going to tease her, or at least I doubt it. She'll have to tell them at some point. He shoots a look at Jora, and grins.


"Yes, King Peach ," says Astrid, kneeling on one knee, with her head bowed, not only to look knightly, but to hide her grin. Not the best at coming up with nicknames, but peaches can be the color of his hair, and he loves peach pie. 'King Peach' seems pretty good at pranking and joking. 'Miss Ears' waits for Izzy to allow her to rise.
(Nixie, what do you think of the nickname? It's the first thing that came to mind. I know it's not that good but, anyway, feedback please Nixie.)

(Ani.........Please don't try to come up with nicknames ever again. Please. For the love of God, PLEASE. *sniffs* And his hair color is red-orange, not peach.)


"King.....Peach? What? I mean," he begins to gesture expressively, "yeah, I love peach pie with cinnamon, but that's not nickname material." He turns to Astrid and becomes serious. "You see, you go for something very prominent that is practically always there. For example, 'Miss Ears' is a good nickname because you have cat ears in your human form, and I'm pretty sure kitsunes can't learn to control them like Teumassian foxes can, so those ears aren't going anywhere anytime soon. A better nickname for me would be 'Big Red' because in my monster form I'm a giant red fox. But you've never seen me in my monster form, and I don't go into it very often, so the nickname isn't actually that good. Once I earned the nickname 'Imp', but I hated it, so the people who gave it to me stopped. Besides, my nickname is" with obvious detest "Izzy." He frowns. "I don't like it, but Aryanna decided it was perfect because no one likes to say my full name, Iysytsya, and there isn't really any other option." He shrugs. "I guess you're just out of luck."
