The Monsters we are...
It's ironic...
We fear things...
But never our selves...
I wonder why?
The real threat is not under the bed...
It's not in fantasy...
Or the shape of animals...
Plants...
The threat is nothing but our selves...
We know that now...
Because...
We where just given the physical body of what we are...
Monsters...
Geez...
It's my birthday already?
Oh...right...
I'm 20...
Time to become the monster I am...
It's a pretty sad birthday...
Everyone crying...
They shouldn't though, I'm just...being put into...a monster...
Oh god...let me remember...my friends...
I'm scared...

All people above 20 have disappeared...
All the remaining children, teens and young adults have been gathered up and put into places know as 'Dormitories'
Here they wait for their 20th birthday which is when they are taken away and, depending on their physical shape or mind, are turned into monsters.
These monsters are under the control of the Overlords. Scum who wish to hunt all the people not in dormitories...
Become masters of the world and control all humans.
People sometimes escape from the dormitories, some live, some die.
Though either way.
Your 20th birthday is a sad birthday.
RULES!
1) NO PLAYING A OVERLORD! These guys you can ONLY rp if they are controling monsters to attack your ocs! NO TRYING TO TALK, ATTACK ( well you can try :3 ) OR BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH ONE! These guys are NOT human, just remember that...they're monsters!
2) But 'Wababa' in a post :3
3) You can either have your ocs be in a dormitory, escaped group ( Shade's Children ), or someone recently escaped
4) Still reading? Good, don't put 'Wababa' in your post but instead 'Can Shade be trusted?'
5) DO NOT START RPING TILL YOUR OCS ARE ACCEPTED! Geez, this really annoys me!
6) If a oc is turned into a monster then 1-they are completely un-able to rp with or 2- You...do something...( not saying what :3 )
6) Put 'Shade is yet to gain a body' in your oc sheet :3
What different Overlords are there?
In total, seven. Excluding the highest and strongest of them all, Death-to-us-part.
Crimson Moon
Emerald Death
Violet Star
Dark Deception
Golden Light
Copper Silence
Silver Distress
Who is Death-to-us-part?
Death-to-us-part ( DTUP for short ) is the highest in ranking and strongest of all overlords. Though no one has ever seen him, he is claimed to be a myth to just make humans even more scared. And it works. DTUP has also been claimed to be a spy for the overlords, to see how well their dormitories are and if not good, the overlord who owns that dormitory is punished.
Will Death-to-us-part ever appear in this rp?
This depends. Because it matters if he exists or not doesn't it? If he does, maybe, if he doesn't, weeelll...he's clearly NOT going to appear!
What is Shade's Children?
Shade's Children is the name given to the escaped humans who took refuge with a AI known as Shade. Shade would send them on missions in hopes of gaining more information to bring back the adults and destroy all monsters and overlords.
This rp was based off the book Shade's Children. I recommend you read it! It's a very good book and really is hard to put down! Honest!

The different Monsters:
Trackers- these humanoid things may have the appearance of a human though they run around on all fores and their noses are like a pigs. This is like that so they can track the scent of anything. Easy to kill with a weapon. Goes around in packs of three.
Wingers- A flying monster that has brilliantly good eyes which allows them to look past even the thickest of cloud. They look human apart from their large wings and distorted faces. They are usually used for sending messages, capturing, taking caught humans away or the larger ones are used as transport for Overlords. Sort of hard to kill, several cannon shots might do. Goes around in flocks of up to seven.
Myrmidons- An attacking monster which usually has very bad anger problems and is very thick. Though when seeing a human all they know is to give chase until the human is dead or caught. Used for fighting. Hard to kill. Usually walks around in pairs.
Myrmidon Masters- An commanding and attacking monster. These monsters can control other monsters and is much more powerful then a Myrmidons. Extremely hard to kill, avoided. Goes around with lots of different monsters with it or alone.
Drones- Don't attack and are just used for transporting messages or performing the surgery for creating monsters.
Ferrets- A ferret humanoid monster which lurks in dark places around the city. They hate water and usually avoided tunnels that have water. Have large fangs which allow them to drink blood of humans or animals. Dangerous, attack if needed to. Travels in large groups. When there is one ferret, there are many others.
Overlords- What do you want to know? They control every monster created ( only the ones that belong to that certain Overlord ), rarely seen. Geez, you see one, your dead already...no one has been known to meet one and survive.

Ai's name: Shade
Purpose: Protecting the children, his children, and to return all disappeared adults and destroy all monsters and overlords.
Form: Hologram, has built many rat like robots to spy for him.

Nickname: Brother
Age: 18
Personalty: Sad, lonely
History: All his life he has been in the dormitories and made friends. Only to see their 20th birthday and for them to disappear. Forever. He's always longed to join his friends, not knowing what they where turned into.
He is always like a big brother to the younger children, so they usually call him brother.
Where they are: Dormitory
Crush: N/A
Other: On someone's 20th birthday he would hug them randomly throughout the day until the drones arrived to take them away.
( Only without fire XD )
Name: Ashe
Nickname: N/A
Age: 20
Personalty: Determined, usually blocks off his emotions.
History: He escaped from the dormitories at a young age, just able to escape packs of trackers and descending nets of Wingers. He was then found by a now dead group of Shade's Children who took him back to their base. There, Shade adopted the boy into the group and soon Ashe became a leader of a small group himself.

Name: Merui
Nickname: N/A
Age: 17
Personalty: Quiet, easily embarrassed, usually doesn't do well in conversations
History: She was born in a wealthy family who spoilt her rotten ( she never liked it ). Though when all the people above 20 years disapeared Merui ran out to the streets and refused to go to the dormitories and has since then been on the run from monsters and only staying in one place for a few hours.

Other: She is half-starved and has a bad cold right now >_>

Age: 19
Personalty: Stubbern, a bit protective of the new people in Shade's Children.
History: She never went to the dormitories and was one of the first people to join Shade. Since then she has grown and has developed a sense that Shade is a bit off. Though she just assumes it's because he's a computer.
Where they are: Shade's Children
Crush: She's open :3
Other: She likes fighting with swords

Age: 19...? ( doesn't really tell anyone but people assume that XD )

History: Kept secret though he is very new to the dormitories

Vicious, when she goes for the kill she makes sure it is dead. Constantly Moving, she doesn't like to stay in one place at a time and stealth is not her strong suit. Non-Social, talking isn't one of her string suits and she often ignores other people.
History: Lizzy spent most of her life alone, so the change with the adults disappearing did not affect her much. When she was eight, her family died in a car crash. She was with her grandparents that day and knew nothing of it, till a few days later. Her grandparents did not have the money to take care of her, so they sent her to a foster home. A few years later, Elizabeth ran away to live on her own in the streets. She didn't like living in someone elses house. It felt wrong to her in more ways than one. She scavenged the garbage cans and often stole from grocery stores. She made a small tent out of trash bags and sticks under a bridge. She lived this way up until a few years ago, when she joined forces with Shade. The only reason she joined forces and is fighting to get the adults back, is because, she doesn't want to become a monster...

Personality: Morbid, he likes to think of the worst thing that could possibly happen. Relaxed, he doesn't try to take situations too seriously, he doesn't like the stress. Cautious, watched his surroundings and plans out all of his moves. Quiet, rarely talks or makes any noises such as laughing.
History: When Chase was a young boy, about eight years old, him and his sister were celebrating her twentieth birthday. He had no clue of what happens when you hit your twentieth birthday. His sister was kidnapped by something people called Drones. He never saw her again and was forced to grow up for the last ten years or so by himself.

Personalty: Calculating, alway watches and sees how everything will play out. He will only put himself in a situation if it helps him in some way. Cold, he makes acquaintances but nothing more. Restless, is constantly moving and messing with something. Cautious, keeps careful note of his surroundings and the people in them. Brave, will take an extra leap, no matter how crazy or suicidal, to get what he wants.
History: When Alex was younger all of this wasn't happening. He had an older brother and older sister. His mother had passed away when he was born so he only ever got to know his father. They would play games and sports like baseball and monopoly. One day the drones came and took him and his family to the dorms. Him and his siblings had lost there father along the way and than there sister disappeared on her twentieth. Only him and his older brother Jace was left. Jace had made a plan on how they would leave this place but Alex was scared. He didn't want to leave, he felt safe here. Jace left without him and he never saw Jace again. Rp the rest out...

Well you can escape and such. It's possible but most of the time people die ( though you can just pretend your escaped ones are the lucky ones )
Or you could have a oc which has not yet been taken to a Dormitory ( Running around alone or with Shade )
And you can't have relationships with monsters because they are controlled by Overlords ( Overlords look down on humans so don't think about a relationship with them...they'll probably kill ya XD ). They only have the mind of a human and body parts/DNA of one though are not human but more humanoid ( get what I mean? )
