Posting here to say I agree completely. I was wondering if this was bothering anyone else.

And once I saw a profile with the "against bullying" copypasta followed by the Justin Bieber empire state building copypasta. It is kind of weird to post a triggering, incredibly graphic anti-bullying copypasta, and then follow it up immediately with that disturbing Justin Bieber copypasta that literally advocates for Justin's s******. It was so weird I almost posted it (the text) on social media for the laughs (but decided against it). Part of me wonders if the user who did that was being ironic.

But yeah, I think stuff like that should not be allowed here.

nice to see that i'm not just overreacting and other people are bothered by this. i'm honestly just surprised that it's flown under the radar for so long considering that krin and fai have worked so hard to keep this site welcoming and open.

100% complete and utter support. These chain letters and "Paste or Else" stuff is absolutely unnecessary and honestly, evil. Especially the JB one, or the one about Aurl 666 or any of them that pull on people's emotions or call you heartless if you don't pass it on (all of them I swear) I also have a deep passionate hate for these and could honestly write a hundred page paper on how terrible they are but I just have to stop myself here because if I go any further I may not turn back xD

i honestly thought i was the only one who hated those things ^^;

they're just kind of everywhere and it's annoying. especially the one with the woman who walks down a dark alley at night and prays for god to protect her. it's just insulting to me, and probably to others too.

and the one about animal abuse (the kitten one) has the potential to be pretty triggering for some people. i find it a very immature thing for someone to post and i think it shows a complete disreguard for the people who may potentially see the post in your AM. i think they should do away with it :/

Because... I kinda agree but disagree too. Especially with people posting AMs in the introduction forum (which... I support because I have one, but I don't support obviously spammy ones. It's great for organization VS. the attached which isn't). But, at the same time, AMs like ours are available on any site (think FR's About Me profile section or even Neopets) and AMs aren't necessarily the main problem here (the spammy-ness is on the forums too, albeit in the Introduction Forum). So, maybe increased moderation of AMs would be a nice meeting middle point.

I agree to! They all mostly spread false information, and I feel like there also filled with
negative stereotypes... I'm fine with those harmless copypastes or those that support causes with out using strong language, but sometimes copypastes just go to far. Other then that though not a huge fan of the peer pressure.

I have seen several religious ones too where it talks about a story about a girl getting assaulted and her seeing god or some rubbish. I have mailed people about how inappropriate this is before
