The name. . .the name is something the villagers knew not. All they knew was both its kindness and its fury.

The creature - often called some kind of demon, or perhaps a god - came down from the distant mountain each year, on the first day of their spring festival. It never spoke, nor did it seem to hear, and its eyes never opened. The only thing the people could truly see was its faint, neverending smile.

And that smile never did fade, even when the creature laid waste to a farm starving its cattle; it did not become any greater when it blessed their new seed. . .

Walking through the night a little bunny walks along a firefly lane happily kind. Her companion walks side by side her gingerly waddling. This lovely kin is giddy and sweet, a sweet demenure with spring wishes.

We sorta started with a walk but then ended up in the pretty honeysuckle flowers. We didn't make a mess but we couldn't resist dressing up with them. They smell as pretty as they look. They are our favorite flowers now! We gotta go now. See ya in the morning with the morning glories!

Aviva
Aviva is a forest beauty, simply known for loving all creatures who walk the forest. Not too trusting of humans, she is said to have been seen frolicking through the forest, helping furry beings in need no matter how big or small, and vanishing within the blink of an eye at the smallest crack of a twig.

Stuck Between

This particular Fairy was born right as Winter ended and Spring began. From the day of her birth, the girl found she was stuck between two seasons.

She always felt so seperated from her fellow fairies. She just didn't quite fit in two the two groups she belonged to.

The beautiful Winter fairies were absolutely gorgeous.Typically sporting soft blue complexions that were matched to their outfits. Winter fairies typically wore a tutu like skirt with striped tights underneath. Their tops often consisted of a vest with a striped shirt underneath. These fairies loved markings and tattoos, they saw it as a way to express their individuality.

Then there were the Spring fairies. Often with a light green complexion dotted with dark green freckles, these fairies as well were quite the alluring sight. Often they'd wear loose and frilly dresses or skirts that swayed with their every movement, often shaded a dark green. They absolutely adored jewelry that could adorn them, finding that jewelry could show aspects of their personalities.

Now, this fairy stuck in between, found that she loved both styles, but neither on its own quite suited her. She just didn't feel comfortable wearing one particular style. It didn't feel right to the girl. So one day, she grabbed a large bunch of materials from the other fairies, grabbed her sewing box and a pair of scissors before she got to work!

A few snips here, a couple of stitches there, and it was done!

As she stepped outside, the two groups of fairies she'd been born into stared at the girl in awe.

She looked beautiful. The two styles she adored were combined and made to suit her. Her own unique style that represented who she truly was.

Perhaps she fit into neither group perfectly, but she didn't have to. To the Winter and Spring fairies, she was already beautiful, and both groups loved her and accepted her with open arms. And finally seeing the girl accept herself for who she was made the two groups of fairies absolutely ecstatic.

They call her Persephone, Goddess Queen of the Underworld and Spring. Bringer of Life and Light, Destroyer of Death. Bearer of the Torch, Sower of Crops. With her coming she brings the soft scent of spring and warmth, and with her departure the cold grip of frost and the sleep like death over the world.

Calista

They say she came from the Sun itself. With her golden aura and constant bright glow, shining through any situation. Her personality matches her outfit perfectly. Bright and bubbly, quick to lend a hand to anyone, anywhere.

Iris

Iris is the colors of spring themselves. Born from a triple rainbow during the month of May, She must add the colors to spring each year. Over the hundreds of years that she has been adding bling to spring, she has become very good friend with the wild fauna. Every time she comes to add colors to spring, certain animals will ask for their colors to be changed too. Iris has received many gifts from many people including a ferrikki egg, and a bushel of peacock feathers. With the feathers she crafted a dress which will ensure that all the chicks hatch will have fluffy down to keep them warm. Without Iris, there would be no spring!

"Greetings, traveler, you seem weary. Come and sit with me, and I will tell you a tale - one about Madame Willow, carrier of Spring." He paused for a moment, as though contemplating whether or not to continue.
Clearing his rusty throat, the old man decided: "You see, long ago, many humans believed in supernatural beings to explain natural phenomenons, such as earthquakes or thunderstorms. In this case, the mortals trusted in a beautiful fairy, Madame Willow. She came during the springtime, making the rain sing, the trees sway, and the flowers bloom with all their vibrant colors. Wherever she stepped, bare trees grew blossoms and bore fruit; wherever she hummed, birds would cry out with joy; wherever she blessed, nature would flourish and prosper. Madame Willow was adored by many: Sacrifices were offered - though they were never animals or living creatures - the people sang for her, and wrote poems, which were greatly loved by Willow herself. There was one particular rhyme that seemed to appease her the most, however:

Spring - gone is winters grief,
Telling of the hidden life
That breaks forth underneath,
There is no time like Spring,
Life's bursting in everything,
Before new nestlings sing,
Blessed is the Queen of Spring,
Full and free,
Who dwells in the willow tree.

"These poems were what kept her alive, what kept her remembered. Without them, she would perish and be gone forever, forgotten. When human beings started disrespecting nature, it would make her normally kind and compassionate self become angry. Madame Willow simply did not tolerate harm to any of her children, her beauties. As more and more mortals started to disregard nature, to treat it like it would come back eventually, like that tree didn't matter, like the animals didn't matter, like the Earth itself didn't matter, Madame Willow's poems started to dissipate. With her poems, so did she, and the memories of her. I am one of the few who still remember her tale, passed on with generations and generations to come. Perhaps she will return, perhaps she will not. The remains of this story can be found in Umbra Forest - where it is dark, and springtime will never go there. For now, however, the rest of the Sylestia still receives springtime, their blessings still intact. Beware, young traveler, or Spring may vanish before your eyes."
