While I also use level 30 teams for battle board teams (because of battles being faster, therefore more battles able to be done in the same amount of time), this is certainly not the reason why I have more than one battle board team XD I have multiple pets leveled to 30 and ready to switch in because the species board you're on depends on the pets in your team.

The argument of only needing a second team for level-purposes only works if you only ever strive for one species on these boards, and that species happens to be the same as your usual team. Certainly not true for me!

my own typical board setups are teams either lv30 or 50 (not below 30- at 30 you get the second prof point, and below level... 25ish? the likelihood of 3-enemy mobs is about 0.

at lv30 you can use Sanctuary of Saerielle town hall gear (lv26), which is very good equipment, at lv50 you can use elementally-aligned Mythical equips (or arena equips if you uh. have those)
Typical setup is light+2fire (so we don't have to spend any time manually healing) (though if you have ancient relics of the light and shadow persuasion on a lv50 team, 3fire works)

profs are usually 2int all around for max damage output, and battles are usually over so fast the tank pet doesn't need to worry about damage (since any dealt is healed by the light attacks)

lv60+ enemies get a drastic increase in HP, hence why not using our regular team (also, our regular team is earth/light/air, and thus not built to mow things down as fast as humanly possible, it's built for the lg)
