I do look at most items in the broker to see whether I'm putting it up for a fair price or not. If a certain item has not been in the broker in the last 30 days, I simply guess how much it would be worth and usually try to low-ball it in case someone really needs the item (I.e; Dye, Philter).

I'm alright with haggling, but I know the worth of my items and will not underprice them, for items above 100k I am alright with negotiating a lower price or a mix of gold+item trade, but under that and their prices will not be lowered.

Point system

Points can be earned through buying items [can not be earned through trade]. The more you buy/spend the more points you earn towards discounted items. Points cannot be earned through purchases involving discounted items.

The amount off depends on both the number of points you use and the type of item it is.
EX: with 50,000 p, you can get a legendary item 10% off or a rare item 15% off.

15,000 - 25,000 p : 5-10% off

50,000 p : 10-15% off

75,000 p : 15-25% off

100,000 p : 25-30% off

150,000 p : 30-45% off

200,000 p : 45 - 50% off

300,000 p : 50 - 65% off

400,000 p : 65 - 75% off

500,000 p : Claim one non legendary item free

800,000 p : Claim two non-legendary items free

More than 800,000 p : Claim one legendary item for free
