Hiraeth decided to get back into Minecraft after like 5 years. I found a massive adventure map called Drehmal (version 2.1). It's 12k by 12k blocks wide and is nearly 4.5 GB. That is a lot. I've decided to check it out. It's gorgeous. This thread will be where I keep my screenshots because everyone else needs to see them too.

All images can be viewed as larger version by opening in new tab.

Feel free to post! ^^ (and if you have played this map before, drop your screenshots!)

The view from the spawn point, in an area called the Primal Caverns.

Entrance to the Chamber of Dreams!

There was some cool lore.

From there I decided to venture west along a road that would apparently take me to the Village of Draybel. Found a cool abandoned church thing with more lore.

Village of Draybel! Zelda: Breath of the Wild music plays when you enter. I like

Path going northwest

Some super cool tall cliffs and glaciers

Me and my trusty iron hoe, Hoe Boy, went on a trip in the wilderness.
Watching the sun set over a pond in the fields

Some cool orange hills

Peaceful birch forest!

I made it to the sea!

Ruins in a grove!

White mountains. I spy a cool bridge and a tower

Purple towers.

Apparently this place is called the Temporal Ruins. This is where my journey ends for today...

I'm only using Optifine 1.16.4! The shaders are Sonic Ether's Unbelievable (Standard, I think) and I'm super surprised my laptop can run them well :p The map has a custom resources pack too, but it only changes the textures of a few things.

I love taking video game screenshots lol.

Covered a lot of ground today. Here's the Temporal Ruins at night!

At the end of the hallway going into the mountain, there was a wall. It must be locked for part of the story? There was no other way to get into the tower.

The map of the Temporal Ruins

Very scary cave full of quartz and monsters. And deep water.

These are 'fast travel' towers. This one's in the Purity Peaks region!

Onwards to the Heartwood

Lakeside ruins in the Heartwood

View from the mountain in the middle of the lake (not pictured: me falling to my death twice)

Canyon bridge thingy!

The Heartwood's tower

The Heartwood's town, Gozak!

Fell in a hole while exploring the Heartwood. Found this cave and a cool custom axe. Lore says the cavern used to be home to a giant creature.

Cavern from the outside - kind of looks like a maw.

This doesn't look too cheery.

I got a bad feeling about this.

Pressing the button in the shrine led to a miniboss!

Escaped with my trusty hoe (after giving him a good farming). Left that hellscape and found some turquoise caverns!

The shoreline of the Lorahn'khal region

Today we started in Lorahn'khal and made our way... elsewhere. Here's the turquoise vacation-perfect shores... except for the legions of undead and necromancers. That may interrupt vacation plans.

According to some of the lore books, Lorahn'khal was ruled by the Tri-Moon Theocracy, who liked raising the dead. Of course, nothing could go wrong.

View from Lorahn'khal's tower

Heading to a new region!

Got more time to play today. Went on an adventure!

I love the way this is framed omg

Bucky and I leaving those beautiful cliffs behind

Swamp tower!!

View from the swamp tower

Spent a good half hour stumbling around in said swamp. After leaving, it turned into a sort of marshy place.

A bit greener!

Decided to head west. Found more canyons

The absolute grandest view

Tomorrow (or whenever I play next) I plan to head for that tower!

I'm glad I'm not afraid of heights.

This ruined town had some interesting books hidden in underground shelters.

Got a cool weapon from the pyramid thing

View from the top of the tower!

Ow, hot

Found another oasis. That water is a lot deeper than it looks.
