Deep within the Amazon rainforest lives a group of warriors, fearless and strong. The difference between them and normal warriors is that these are all female. Not a single man within their ranks, but they are still just as strong, if not stronger, than the most seasoned of warriors. This is their queen, Queen Hali. She doesn't have the strength, or the bravery, but she has the wits, which in turn, let her raise to the rank of queen. Her hair is short and uneven, mostly because she cuts it only so its not in her face, not so that she can impress someone. Her helmet won from the time she challenged the last queen, in a battle to the death for the throne. Her armor, hand smelted in the finest forges, and her swords origin is unknown. She calls it the Soul Reaper, and it does just that. The Soul Reaper is one of her most prized possessions, and she cant fight without it. Some say its cursed, while others say its enchanted. The red fog is mysterious, and poisonous as well. Her winged blades are like a crown some queens wear, its just marks your position in ranking. She cannot be defeated in battle easily, so no one dares to challenge her say. They all just say; "All hail Queen Hali!"

This is my avatar in an autumn fairy themed outfit. Since the temperature starts to drop in fall she is wearing long sleeves, pants, and boots. To show that she is a fairy, she has wings made from the fall branches and a wand used to create happy memories in Autumn. I had many family and friends pass in Autumn I don't want to grieve, but celebrate the time I had with them. Autumn helps me bring back wonderful memories I've had with the ones I've lost. Happy New Year everyone and I hope there are better things to come for this site in the future!

I couldn't get a bigger picture :( It's my current avie.

A veteran from a world covered in frost where horrors abound. She hunts with the legendary Great Stag to protect the people of the land from those that would harm them. Known as the Winged Huntress, the people revere her but she only wishes for them to help each other and bring cheer to other's lives. She brings gifts to those that need them and occasionally is seen teaching a young one how to hunt in the wild forest for food. She helps apothecaries avoid dangerous combinations of wild plants and teaches them where to find the best plants for various uses. "Our own guardian angel" they say.

Meet Glicea, the guardian of travelers in the north. During most of the year she remains localized to the northern lands, where she protects travelers who lose their way in the frigid mountains, but during the winter she watches over all. She appears before those who have lost their way in the cold to offer protection and guide them to the nearest settlement to meet their needs. It is also rumored that she aids Santa in his yearly trip round the world by helping to enchant his sleigh...

A young debutante of the Luporine, a mythical race of humanoids with the tails of Lupora. Despite her good girl appearance, she's highly rebellious and defiant, bored of her isolated homeland. She dreams big, with aspirations of becoming an aviator. However, her parents, fearing that such a job is too dangerous, forbade it. This didn't stop her, though! Using her private education and natural proclivity for engineering, she created a pair of her very own mechanical wings, and, with nothing but the clothes on her back and a lantern to light her way, she flew off into the night to pursue her dreams. But life outside her home mansion is shockingly difficult! She currently earns money for school by entertaining at clubs and masked balls showing off her various inventions. She's gained somewhat of an underground cult following for her unique performances, but she fears that her steady rise in fame will lead her parents to her and she'll have to go back home.

The first of the Great Three:

Excerpts from the Book of Origins:

"In the deep North far beyond the reaches of the spirits, and even further than the reaches of men on wing, there stands the Tower, perched on the edge of the world. Braced by ice and snow against ferocious storms and the pull of the nether beyond to safe guard the treasures within. For within this tower if snow and ice sit three, three of unimaginable power. Two young maidens and a wee lad, accompanied only by their Griffi counter parts. The oldest of the three, the first maiden, was created with the powers of frost and ice. The second, the younger maiden and middle child, was blessed with the powers of healing and growth. The youngest and final of the three, the wee lad, was given the power to call upon flame and light. Although all three are very young in terms of the life span of the world, they have witnessed countless lifetimes and know the burden they shoulder. For one day they will leave the edge of the world to bestow their gifts upon one, one who will lead Sylestia out of her darkest hour."
Chapter 3, page 247

"The first of the Great Three is said to be blessed in frost and ice. Her ability to wipe clean the lands with her snow and ice makes her loved and feared. For everyone loves the clean slate she provides, but none cherish the endless winter storms."
Chapter 5, page 671

Her gown is sown from her own ice, her mask made from the feathers of her Griffi, and the stones in her staff from the Tower.

Her Griffi, Ren:

Anactaka dressed for the masquerade ball in blue (her favorite color) and white (the color that most defines her). As she nervously adjusted the mask on her face, she smiled. She loved this: dressing up in a fancy new outfit to go out and explore somewhere incredible. She probably loved it too much, or at least she had trouble holding all that joy in- for it would come out in a fit of happy jumping-up-and-down. She had one of these fits then, and she had to re-fix her hair.
"Ok. Breathe in. Breathe out," she reminded herself. Now manageably excited, she imagined she was at the ball.
She had imagined this ball already in her mind: the white and blue icy castle, the chilling music, the frozen ballroom full of people so icy you would think they could freeze you with their stony stare... Everyone around her was this same temperature, except for three warm souls. Herself, of course, and two others.
One was a prince. Eric. He was stuck dancing with an icy baroness who was trying to reel him into her frozen trap. He, Anactaka knew, was looking for love. A warm, real love that would sustain him in his service to that icy land. A person worthy to be his princess.
The other person was her. Elaina. Beautiful, cheerful, and not the slightest bit hopeful, she was just glad to be there.
They were going to meet. That's why Anactaka was there. She had to make sure. She had to make sure nothing would get in the... uh oh. He's new, Anactaka thought.
He had just entered the room, dressed in all black. He slinked around the ice people, heading for Elaina. He snagged a drink from an unsuspecting noble who had no idea he was there. None of them did. They couldn't see him. But Anactaka could. And she knew exactly who he was.
Imagineers- traitors all of them, she thought. She wouldn't let him out of her sight.

My take on the lovely Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker. She reigns over the Kingdom of Sweets, and is also known for making sugar plums dance in children's dreams close to Christmas time.

(Sorry for the Ping, I didn't know if we were supposed to do that or not..XD)
Mine:

The story:
She is the burning light you find in your fireplace, burning all throughout the night and then still going when you wake up the next morning. She will keep your entire house warm, so long as you keep giving her fuel. And she shall stay there, in the fireplace, until she finally dies down, at the end of the people's house's time of need.
