I think we can all agree that the title sounds like the beginning of a joke. My life has been fulfilled.
Anyways, hi. I'm Lark, your least favorite tactless phoenix (or lark). I figured I'd finally make a serious (ha, ha. Nothing I do is serious) one of these since I'm finally coming close to finishing some of my breeding projects.

If you would like to be pinged with random updates and progress for a specific project or species (or all of them, I guess), please let me know on this thread. Or PM, I guess?
The numbers are the amount of trait points the pet with the most trait points has (which is probably not the most accurate way of measuring progress, but... eh). The images are predictions of what the finished project will look like. Keep in mind that this is not a guarantee of how it will end up, obviously.
I'm not sure if I need to say this, but species banners are official Sylestia art.

Name Ideas
When if I finish any of these, I'll probably need names for the pairs. Yay? Yay! I could come up with names on my own, I guess, but I find it interesting to see other people's ideas, so feel free to suggest. Please keep in mind that I will most likely need names in pairs (two pairs per project, all four names don't have to match), unless I can think of a good matching name, and I will probably be quite picky about it. I'll probably work up a discount or something later.
Types of Names I Like
- Names that are exotic or mean something in a different language, however try not to give too much of these as it is how I usually name my pets. I might also accept it if it just sounds pretty, but feel free to give the meaning if you want. (ex. Amorette, Corliss)
- English words that are unusual and/or pretty (ex. Iridescence, Euphoria)
- Mythology names, I would like if you held back on the Greek/Roman ones, though (ex. Cailleach)
- Multiple word or poetic sounding names, I'd be careful with this in order to not make it sound like a common object, see list of names that I don't like (ex. Poseidon's Steed, Melodic Winds)
- Animal names, again, be careful and make it a more exotic sort of animal (ex. White Raven, Mamba)
- Names that fit the pet's description, such as color (ex. Cobalt)
- Names that fit the pet's personality (ex. Valiant)
- Names of exotic or fictional places (ex. Phoenicia, Narnia)
- Names that end with a vowel (ex. Akira)
- Most importantly, names that match the theme!
Types of Names I Don't Like
- Common names (ex. Bob, Emma)
- Names of various objects and/or boring colors (ex. Blue, River)
- Names that are the same name as the theme, obviously (ex. Sea Glass)
