I looked at the now ash covered boy. That was an extremely powerful, but dangerous power. I wondered if gloves helped like it did Reuvan (however it also hindered him). I gingerly reached over to tug him out of the pile by his shirt, careful not to touch his skin at all.

Phoenix watched with bored interest. Hmm. It was doubtful that anyone here knew what she would do, after all it wasn't so useful everyday situations. Unless you counted dodging people who were trying to trip you.

Phoenix shushed him and tried to listen to Almon and Reuvan's conversation, she'd heard her name but couldn't really tell what they were talking about. After all, she didn't have inhuman hearing.
