The female base has remained unchanged other than some updates to its shading.

However, the new default outfits are more just styled the way they are and then fitted to either base rather than specifically drawing two separate versions for each base. Since we have noticed over the years that a lot of players use the bases somewhat interchangeably based on personal preference - whatever that preference may be. It's also why new head items almost always are just now separated by the head itself rather than separated by base.

Those new outfits look really nice, I'm tempted to put them on my avatar even though I have a wide range of outfits from festivals and such

I am sorry that you feel that way. However, that is most definitely not the case on our behalf.

As we have stated multiple times before regarding the issue, it is literally impossible to redo a base's lineart. There are ~2,500 avatar items in total and the amount of hours to update each and every item for a new base would be in the multitudes of thousands of hours of work.

Not only is that not even remotely realistic even if it were an entirely free service, but the cost would be astronomical even if we had artist(s) able to provide that many hours of work in a reasonable time frame.

And as I just stated previously, we do the best we can to provide similar items for both bases. Not all Outfits are unisex, but quite a lot are and we usually try to at least include one or two with each newly released batch.

I am loving the new defaults.

The goal of these 16 defaults was to replace the Clothing system of the original Wardrobe. We very likely will add additional combinations and/or design patterns for Default Outfits later on. But this is what we will have at the beginning:

I have a suggestion. Include two versions of every outfit - one precolored and one colorable. I know I prefer to choose an outfit that comes precolored, and there are others who prefer to color their own, so having both options seems like a good idea to me.
