Just a quick announcement regarding Announcement Points. From this point on, earning Advancement Points (Or ) has now been capped up to a saved total of 100,000 points. For players who are already in excess of this new cap, their points will remain exactly as is; they just can't earn any additional until they spend enough to go under the cap.

But there isn't anything to spend them on?
Correct! And that is precisely the point of the new cap. =D

The main reason that there are so few things to actually spend on is because some players have accumulated so many points over the years that there would be absolutely no way to add in, say a shop, where prices can somehow apply to both those with millions of accumulated and those who are relatively new.

The new Wardrobe (almost ready!) will provide players with a way to spend on new Outfit Slots, similar to saved Generator Design Slots, as well as directly purchasing various new Base Styles. We intend on greatly increasing the frequency of adding in new Base Styles moving forward. However, for those with millions of points, they could literally buy anything and everything for all eternity. This is obviously not ideal.

So what's the solution?
In addition to the Wardrobe, now with points capped out, we will look to probably adding in some promotional/limited items down the road for a lot of , allowing players who are way over the cap to purchase some exclusive goodies with all of their earned points over the years.

Eventually, we'll reach the point where we'll probably then forcibly convert everyone's points still remaining over the cap into some sort of other use-able thing to be determined later.

After that, then we can release an Advancement Point Shop where players can purchase all sorts of neat things, such as permanent account upgrades, with accumulated from then on.

TLDR
It is virtually impossible to utilize as an actual currency because either veteran players can purchase anything that's ever released until the end of time via their accumulated points, or newer players will have to spend years of playing to afford anything to keep the rewards valuable. Neither of these is an acceptable solution.

Therefore, we have capped the ability to earn additional to 100,000 and are going to give players with mass stockpiles of the capability of purchasing limited/exclusive things to reduce their stock.

Eventually, we will release an Shop where all players can then spend earned on actual useful account upgrades while keeping prices nominal.

The goal is to turn millions of something with very little value into something that actually has value, at the sacrifice of just reducing the visible number you see on your screens.

So glad to seee more uses for AP! I'm pretty new, yet I've basically bought everything I want that costs AP already, and I'm nearly halfway to the new cap.

I don't suppose there's an estimated date of arrival for the new wardrobe?

Ah, so its like rewarding longtime players by giving them exclusive stuff in exchange for AP. Cool.

Thanks Krin! It will be very nice to have new things to buy with AP. I have so much just because there wasn't anything to spend it on. Great work and really looking forward to the eventual AP shop. ^-^

Ooh, I was really hoping that new outfit slots could be bought with AP. Now I can have a regular rotations of my favorites, yay! And special items sounds cool, but I don't think I have nearly enough AP for that kind of thing...But it will be fun buying new eyes and hairstyles.
What kind of "account upgrades" would be able to be purchased, I wonder...?

AP is earned by:

-Defeating any Enemy that awards Party Experience
-Nurturing any Pet
-Completing Quests
-Completing Tasks
-Completing Missions
-And perhaps somewhere else I forget
