I have to agree, the faces are rather flat.

Nytekrie are my favorite species. I love the new art's bodies, but those faces... they're very flat and cutesy, unsettling but not in a good way. What has always drawn me to the species is their "coolness" and predator qualities, those faces are the opposite...

i really agree about the cutesy-ness. i dont really like the babys. they are fluffy too the point where they dont even look like birds anymore, and i think they look overly silly and ridiculous. baby owls are fluffy but these look too hairy and strange to me.

The male;

he's a lot better than before, but still some things.
his front seems to be very ?stationary? ... i would like to see a change in pose, to reflect more movement.

his tail doesn't seem to line up? it looks to me like his back is arching down a little too much, before it goes behind the wing.

The female;
she seems to be overall smaller than the male? maybe just the pose or the chest area, but that's what it seems like to me.

something that really bugs me about her.. her hind leg, that is facing us seems.... wrong in some way. it looks to me like its bent/broken outwards, and where the tail attaches looks kind of fake?? (bear with me, this is a little rude) it seems like the body and upper leg is drawn together, in an egg shape, and then the foot and tail were attached to that... can't explain it better.

The beaks on all but the male hatchling coul use a little movement too, especially the female hatchling. maybe open them a little, or just... do something different, cause right now, the male hachlings beak is a lot more detailed than the other three.

I like them, besides what everyone said about the female's tail and the facial discs ('the mask'). Even though this looks like it's based on a barn owl, which has very prominent facial disc... I'm not sure what makes this look off, but these look more spooky than barn owls.

And I like that the hatchlings are fluffy! They actually look like a few week old owlets, and those are nothing but fluff - huge eyes, tiny beak, and then a ball of fluff. (although barn owl owlets look like something out of nightmare, rather than pure cuteness >.>)

Love it! This is an amazing improvement! Especially love what you've done with the adult faces.

well a lot of babies, including predator species, are especially fluffy to help control their heating/cooling

So cute! They look a lot cooler than the original. The only thing i can thing of it the ratio of claw to foot. While as predatory birds they have long talons, on the adult Nytekrie it just feels a bit out of proportion. BUt other than that, perfect!

Edit:Did not mean to ping so sorry its a habit >.<

they're so cute and I cant wait to start making new deigns for the Nytes :D
for my opinion on them I think that the males pose that the back might be a bit too arched up which makes it look a bit too tense. the feathers on the wings are a bit too close together maybe spread the wings out so they're not folded as close to the body? and maybe make the feather tufts on the back legs more in one place near either the joints or feet so that the legs look a bit less bulky? I really like the tails though they look really good and i think the feathers on them are going to look awesome and the head tufts are coming along really well :)

I love the little puff balls they're so cute :3
the little boy's head tufts seem a bumpy around the middle and could use a bit more flow to them.

cant wait until they're finished you guys are doing an awesome job!
