I admittedly made a post earlier that was pretty much just "no please not that" but that was because it was 6:55am and our brain decided that "and then the snake bites you on the foot multiple times. It was a venomous snake. Have fun with that" was a good idea (why can my dreaming-brain manage 'pain' to the point that it lingers for minutes after we wake up but not water textures? A mystery)

I do see that a lot of people like these preview sketches, but I'm just... not finding it that way for us.

I also now have an urge to draw a bunch of nytes like we did with lunes back when they were revamped, to see if we can be more constructive in how we feel it would work better.

It's just the general feel I get from the species, sort of quiet and off to the side and silently judges the other pets around them...

And owls can sometimes look pretty done,

But it's just how I feel.

Eh. I think they are a little too fluzzy and cutish. I liked them when they looked more... how do I say this...warrior-like?

So far agree with you. Like the babies I can understand being puffballs (kinda) but the adults look way to puffy? Not threatening or owlish enough. I will hold back on first judging until we see coloring but... So far kinda disappointed with my birds :(

Oh dear.
I'm not sure I like this. Also, I sure hope I don't come off as rude, these are just some suggestions.

1. Feathers are strange. The current feathers on the nyte's wings are more akin to real birds.

2. I appreciate the attempt at making the poses more dynamic. However, I gotta say that now the male looks quite on-guard and stressed.
- The back looks rather disconnected on either side of the wings, and I like the more dramatic dome on the current ones
- I'm not sure all the feet are on the same plane
- The tail - it's blending into his head. Either move it to the left or put it resting in front as the current
- I like more how the current nyte's feet seem placed very close to each other. It really gives them the cat feel, whereas his current wider stance feels awkward and uncomfortable
- Maybe puffing out the chest will help
- His expression is. idk what that is. fear? disgust?

3. Please don't do the beards. It looks alright on the female, but the male just looks like a disgruntled old man

4. I think the fluff's going a little overboard - especially the male's neck and head region

5. The female looks as if she's pulling away from something that's just startled her
- The way the tail is lifted probably isn't a relaxed pose - maybe move it down
- She's like, got these eyebrow things (eyelids probably) that give her this concerned look

6. I'd like the male's crest thingies to stick up straighter as like the current nytes

7. Babies have bigger feet maybe? And perhaps the adults too. It seems like they've shrunk - talons are important on a hunting creature!

8. Also all their faces just completely got squashed into the fluff. Ik some owls are like that, but it looks strange

Ok if I get the time I'll sketch over and see what I can come up with.
