I have noticed that when you find a themed egg in the wild it still has the themed tag and tells you what species it is maybe if it were possible to hide the themed tag until it hatches so it's more of a surprise.

No support. In that case of newbies not knowing what a themed might be removing the tag might make them sell the egg before they know what they are selling. For example a brand new themed pet, first of it's kind found and the player does not know that it is themed and sells it. Then the player would not only be missing out on a chance of a one of a kind pet at the molment the player might be extremly upset/ furious due to the missing tag. Also what about genetic testing for the tag? If the tag was hidden it would falsely lead a player to believe it is not themed when it truely is, which is decieving. There are themes that do not have the tag because they came out before the tags were invented so if you want a suprise that could be one if you get a purebred from two themed without tags; example Springtime Zolonixi. I understand the want for surprise but sometimes its best to know. If you want a suprise egg I suggest buying one from the scale shop (will not be themed) but you may get a very pleasant surprise or a very poor one without genetic testing.

Thank you I suppose I didn't see it that way but maybe if there were a star were the tag would be and to just remove the tag so it would still signal it being themed without telling you what it is? I didn't really think about newer player though sorry

Maybe that would work until either the egg hatches or is genetically tested.

You are very welcome. I agree with the suprise but there are better ways to go about it though. The idea for mystery can be applied to hidden traits on a sylesti though if that makes you feel better.

Yeah hidden traits are fun though can be tough when breeding
