You walk into the thick grove of trees for a long distance. You turn to look behind you but you notice the area you once were seems to have vanished and been replaced with even more forest. The path you walked seems to also have vanished. Looking back ahead to continue you see there is no longer a path but a tree. It's knarled roots look intimidating but inviting.
Better not go near them.

(Ah, I got it. So... do I still ping you? My character is based slightly off me, so I'm... pretty dense... Also sorry I forgot to add my character is 17)

Taking heed of the warning, I circle around the tree, making sure not to get too close to the roots. As I do so, I examine every inch to see if there is anything particularly suspicious looking.

The roots are unnaturally white and are stained with dirt. They look soft to the touch but some spots look like rot from possible floods. A few twigs and broken roots poke up. A metal key chain coil hangs off one the broken twigs.
