While I wait, I'll just casually start drawing on my phone

Hey, I just got commissioned by a small, local zoo for some art to put on a t-shirt
A few pencil sketches, nothing big
I'm asking for $20 per sketch, and they look like this
What do you guys think? ^^'
(Reference photo is in the public domain, art is by me, example text is purely because I haven't been payed yet)

Your fox is beautiful, Lum! You do you get the fur looking so realistic? Fur and hair are my weaknesses... Not that my art's very good in general.

It's fairly simple, I just... draw the direction of the fur/hair with my pencil. It doesn't take alot, and once you get it down it's really fun and surprisingly soothing!
Best of luck in learning art~!

I've been drawing for a very long time, and ryos are VERY similar to a species I made and never got off the ground back when I was first starting ^^'
Everything but the floaty orbs x3
As for drawing... well, for a new artist, break everything to simple shapes like circles or squares before you draw the rest, it helps keep everything together. And uh, anatomy is your best friend, if you feel like something isn't quite right, look for a reference for what you're working on! It helps a ton, I promise xD

Thank you, you're very kind <3
But never compare your art to another's, it's hard but... in the end it makes you feel worse ^^'
I bet your art is still really good, and you can only improve~!
