They cut down on time, but if you keep the sculpture at perfect repeatedly, you get a bonus that gives the pet an extra carried trait.

Actualy, the first bonus is alwais a slight stat increass but the second one give you an extra carried for fabled and non-fabled themme, the majestic cannot have carried traits outside of their restricted set so they get a second stat boost instead. You nead to interact perfectly with a sculpture until it reach 80% to get both bonuses, using a Expedient Sculpting Agent dosn't disable the bonusses so it can help alot if you want to add a forth trait/ fully boost stats on a pet. ^-^

How to do I get more sylestia animals? I tried to get some whilst exploring but i didnt get them.
How do I change my wardrobe look? I got a mossy staff thing and I dont know how to put it on
I found an egg, do they hatch after a certain time? How can I see the egg?
How do I buy the traps needed to get more creatures?
And any tips for working out the site would be very much appreciated!

1. You can catch them, breed them or buy from other players. Here is a welcome gift , click on the link and select the buy option and this boy will be sent in your stable.
2. acount > wardrobe > outfit items. The staff is in held items, dont forget to save afterward ^-^
3. All eggs take 72 hours to hatch, 5 interactions = 1 hour less. You can see how long you have left before the egg hatch in it's genetic summary. All eggs are localised in your hatchery.
4. Go to any town market or in the festival zones to talk to the npc at the beginning of it to buy traps. If you encounter a themmed pet in the festival zone, you get 3 free traps, this work once a day.
