(Thanks to Rubycookie for the fire connection. I seriously never thought of it but it works better then a cursed weapen, which was my original idea ;D)


You were born with a blood curse. You've had it all your life, but it's supposed to stay dormant. But when you were 3 you were in a fire. The fire awakened you curse. And since then you've been slowly dying.
You've just turned 18 and learned you're already at 50% (halfway through the curse) and might never see you 21st birthday-there's no cure. But then you learned of a boy who survived. You write to him and he replies with the following letter:

Dear fellow victim,

A journey of hardship awaits. Settle your affairs, then follow the clues in this journal (a copy of the original) left by my sister, one of the fallen. For although I have been sworn to secrecy, I can still assist you in some ways.
There is an emerald in the cover of the journal. It can be used three times. Use it wisely. It will alert me and I will send you someething of help. But it will disappear after the third use. To use, just press your thumb over it and it will glow. That is one use. Only one use per issue is needed.

Backstory: Her father and her mother were never legally together but when her mother got pregnant with her they decided to stay together for her sake. She lived her whole life around her parents fighting and her father eventually up and left when she was nine due to him getting a new girlfriend, and wife, and her mother's numerous cheating over the year. She's lived with her mother the rest of her life and had to put up with her mother's string of new boy friends. She's looking forward to leaving her mother and getting out on her own.
Personality: she is very smart and somewhat lazy, she likes to smoke and is very carefree. She enjoys exploring and is very in shape, despite her skinny frame. She dislikes being in places surround by lots of people, as she starts to feel nervous. She prefers to be with one or two very close friends and with those people she. She is always quite sullen acting and doesn't have many close friends.
