There's plans for us to eventually have more titles and I was thinking about some possible ones. I was thinking it would be best to avoid ones that involve breeding a certain amount of pets since there's troubles with over breeding. But here's some I thought would be interesting.
Could probably use some cooler sounding titles for some of these ideas
Nurturer - Have no clue what a good title would be. Would be after so many nurtures.
Adventurer - After completing all ten regions
Historian - On completion of any side optional quests that explore the history of Sylestia.
Farmer - Once we have farming available after accomplishing certain things.
Dependable - For finishing a certain number of tasks.
Mercenary - For finishing a certain number of missions.
Maybe also some for participating in holiday events though I'm not sure how that would work.

Love all of these. Can't wait for more titles (and achievements) to be introduced!
Some other good ones might be.
Friendly: For posting X number of times in the forums
Social Butterfly: Posting A LOT in the forums
Fighter: Fighting X many battles
Warrior: Fighting X number of 4star enemies
Perhaps something for stronger sounding for fighting bosses

Got a few more title suggestions to add to the collection:
Champion of Esior, Sarielle, Ethernia (Max rep).
Apprentice, Adept, Master Blacksmith (Crafting progress related - Armor).
Apprentice, Adept, Master Alchemist (Crafting progress related - Potions).
Local Legend (Account has a Leaderboard trophy, be it past or present).

I could not support a title of "Friendly" for posting in the forums. This could lead to spam messages and people digging into archives just to look for something to post that would get them the title.

While that is a valid point, there is an actual reason behind me suggesting that specific title. While at first it may seem like it would have the same problem as breeding titles, in which people would spam just for the title, there is are key differences between the two. (I know you didn't compare them, but I feel their similarities and differences illustrate why a forum post title would be positive).
Mass breeding is currently a rampant problem on syl, it has a major negative impact on the economy and needs more blocks. An extra incentive would just make the problem worse.
The forums on the other hand have the opposite problem as they are, for lack of a better word, somewhat slow. I would really like to see more forum activity, as it's clear there are tons of active users that don't post at all in the forums.
There are currently posts in forums such as the games and off topic that can already be seen as "Spam" like posts, such as the avoid the admin threads. Those kinds of threads originated as "fun spam" on sites where you earn points/titles/currency/etc from forum posts. A title related to # of forum posts would encourage more participating on these kinds of games for the ones wanting to just spam their way to a title, and for others it would encourage more general forum activity.
