The larger cat bares its teeth and takes a step forward, taking up a rather menacing stance. It doesn't look too friendly. The small kitten follows it's mothers example and takes up a defensive position half cowering between the larger one's paws.
You follow the footprints as quickly as you can. You vaguely notice the area becoming more and more dense with large coils of blackberries until you can't even follow the footprints anymore without risking getting scratched by the small thorns. The footprints lead off into the blackberries, but there is little chance of you being able to follow them with all the blackberries in the way..
Taking the first step away from where you'd previously been standing sends a wave of muttering through your ears. Your brain twists the various languages until you're able to understand what is being said. Faint, almost translucent figures begin to materialise around you in a circle...
"Again?"
"Isn't that 1000?"
"It is! Oh, no..."
"Welp, it's been a good run..."
"Shush, we can still figure out how to get out of here... hopefully..."
She nods enthusiastically and jumps up into the air only to spin around, indicating to everything in the surrounding area with her wings.
"Ginger, I do happen to know where we are! We're just outside of Carran!"
What should you do?

I try to use my final efforts to calm them down. I close my eyes, trying not to feel scared. Maybe they can sense fear, and one thing I know about cats, they don't like anything to stare at them. I slowly stick my hand out to them, and walk slowly forward one step. One thing I know is I don't want to harm innocent creatures, even if they bring me harm. I say in a soft and non threatening voice, "Calm. calm. I don't want to hurt you. I am not a threat."
