Moira Hazlett

Location: Her apartment
Company: Herself
Current Theme: Perfectionist Complex
Items: Bags, water bottle

Silence reigned within the modest apartment, broken only by the steady tick tock of the round clock resting on one of the otherwise barren walls. It was a simple place. So empty and devoid of personality that one might have assumed it was a vacant apartment. Other than basic furnishings, there was absolutely nothing that could tell one about its owner. She was the only one present within this cold space, counting the passing time in the steady ticks and the even beat of her heart.

Moira was seated on the edge of the bed with four bags of varying sizes and shapes resting at her feet and a briefcase leaning by her side. Although she had only received her letter that morning, she was already prepared to leave. She had packed everything she would need, both for life at the school and for her job, on the same day that she had enrolled at this 'finishing' school. One wouldn't be able to tell it by looking at her, but she had been living out of her bags for days. Yet she was still so neat, prim, and proper. Not a even a single hair was out of place, nor a thread upon her uniform. Her hands rested neatly upon her lap, curled around a full water bottle.

The demoness' eyes closed, her mind once again listing and sorting every item she had packed away. As she went through them, a mental picture was formed of the inside of each bag. There were the standard necessities. Hygiene products, clean clothes, a few small electronic devices. And yet, among all of these mundane items were a few objects of note. Packed carefully, as if to protect them, were a pair of tiny figurines. One was a metal dragon, while the other was a beautiful glass songbird. Both were formed with such fine detail that, despite their small size, they looked exactly like the real things. These were her only treasures, the only items she was not willing to leave at the drop of a pin.

Not everything was so innocent, however. Small blades, some made from silver, were tucked away carefully within her bags. A pair were even hidden on her person, tucked against the small of her back. Among her toiletries were small, innocent looking bottles that contained various poisons. Even the bottle she held was not as it appeared. Although she could not step onto sacred ground, she had requested and received several containers of holy water, which had been emptied into its new home. She knew it was the real thing.. She had tested it on herself upon arrival. The bottle, too, was tested to ensure it would not leak. She had no desire to experience the sheer agony holy water inflicted upon her kind more than necessary. These were only some of what small, dangerous things she had tucked away. She was certain that she had everything she was going to need. All she had to do was wait patiently for the appointed time.

From morning 'til midnight, I can't find a reason.
This world keeps on turning without a single motive.
The value of this life results to nothing much.
Even if I were to die nothing would change.

Cain looked out the window, and stares at the passing scenery.
