It is a simple substitution cypher.
We even get one letter pre-known.
With no known letters I usually start with 1 and 2 letter words.
In English one letter words are generally I and A
From there you identify two letter words and then start working on the longer words.

If you have a copy of the cypher with spaces under it you can start filling in the letters you have identified.
I will generally keep a key off to the side with notes about how confident I am about a given letter.

Is that supposed to be the Kanto vulpix (the psychic-fire version with red fur) or the Alolan vulpix (the psychic-ice version with white fur)? "Is the A" implies Alolan, but either way, I think it's cool that an admin likes Pokmon. :)

Edit: Too late for the game, but I still had fun deciphering it. Also it's definitely a Kanto vulpix. The tail gave it away.
