Why have the contest boards (defeated/nurtured) been shortened and continue to stay shortened? They used to be a full week :/

It was meant as a way to stagger the start and end times, I think, for people in different time zones?

Wish it was a ping news at the least.. I miss having them a full week :/ 4 days seems too short but...idk why thought id ask.

Nah, you don't sound stupid. People ask this question all the time.

Start and end dates can be found on the first post in this thread. There's a round going on right now.

Enemies Defeated contests ("murderboards"): The more things you fight, the more points you win. Points are based on the species of pet in your party. For example, I have three lups in my party, so I get three points on the lup board for every enemy I defeat. If you had a team with a nixi, a vul, and a nyte, you'd get one point on each of those boards for every enemy you defeated.

Pets Nurtured contests ("nurture boards"): Every time you (correctly) nurture a pet, you get a point on the board for that species of pet. Pretty straightforward.

If the tiers get reset, is there any way to reset the snow wars festival tasks as well? I'm close to tier 4, and if I have to start over, I'd love to get the prizes for tiers 1-3 again. (If we have to start at 0).

Don't be too hard on yourself, Krinadon. Unforseen things simply happen. While I don't know what's going on in your personal life, I've seen similar things happen on other sites. I used to be on Aramii. Aramii's owner mentioned something about having to take care of a relative with cancer and not having as much time to devote to the site. Things nosedived from there for the site, and one day at least a few months later, the site simply disappeared without notice and explaination. While it's a shame the site disappeared, I can understand why. Taking care of the sick can be a time-consuming and heartbreaking personal and necessary task that can't be put off and is probably much more important than running a site. I know a lot of these unforseen personal and site things that happen aren't as extreme as that, but the holiday season tends to be busy crazy for a lot of people.

They were shortened from that because I felt that some players were basically spending the vast majority of Festivals stressing/competing over Leaderboards and unable to actually enjoy Festival activities.

With them 4-5 days per Round, it allows for players to have a lot more time to enjoy the Festival, it allows for more time off between Rounds, and it allows me to move Start/End Dates around a bit since there's more flexibility.

I'm going to have to look at everything before deciding what actually happens. That's a good point and has been noted.

I'm sure I'll make an announcement on Monday with what's eventually decided.
