On Jan 23, 2019, I lost one of my sons. Mars was under a year old and passed very suddenly. He had just recovered from an infection and had been cleared of FeLV, which he'd been born with. That day, he suddenly took a violent turn. I was glad we had a recheck appointment that evening. We ran a few tested and suspected a fatal disease, FIP. I took him home anticipating a few days before we would put him down, but we lost him violently within a few hours.
A tribute to a very good boy who should have been here longer, if only for a bit. Love you, Mars

Monarch had always been sickly, as the only survivor in dozens of litters accidentally exposed to FeLV/FIV and a parasite. I nursed her since she was so little, the last and only survivor, and never left my side. Even when it was finally safe, she chose to stay at my side. She survived an infection that nearly took her eye, even.
We'd always been distantly aware of a heart murmur. We'd be reminded occasionally and go "Oh yeah," and continue. It caught up to us. Congestive Heart Failure, possibly to be helped. She was only able to take one pill before passing on that night.
My little shadow, closer to me than my own heart. I'll never forget her, so hopefully someone looks forward to seeing more from her.

It's been a while! here's a little experiment. Background is a VectorStock, not mine! I'm trying to work on perspective but since I have none pre-made backgrounds are a lifesaver. Character art is allllll mine.
