I noticed in the create a beach sylesti thread that "5. You cannot select any Restricted Traits for your pets. Restricted Traits are traits that appear in the list as Red Text."

This has never been the case for me? I use a Mac, v.10.13.6 (High Sierra)

That said, if I hover over the trait for a while, a helptext will appear to let me know the trait is restricted. (Only found this out just now because usually no reason to hover over a list)

yeah, for some reason it doesn't work in all browsers- and sometimes a browser updates and suddenly they either turn red again, like they should be, or stop being red.

I have tried so many times to figure out how to apply that styling to other browsers and for some reason, Firefox just refuses to allow it. I literally tried 5-10 different methods and none of them worked for Firefox.

There might be some other browsers too that also refuse to allow it.

It's honestly kind of odd to me... it's like, why does it matter? Just let the developer stylize the text if they want to? Just seems like a strange thing that isn't allowed for some browsers.

But, sadly, unless I were to code my own select options, there's not much else I can really do. =\

That is pretty odd. It looks like for some reason dropdowns are handled by the OS rather than the browser. Kind of funky.

Not ideal, but maybe something like this (jsbin link) for when restricted traits are clicked?
Either way, I think just putting a * at the end of restricted traits could help, for me at least. c:

I probably could add in an *

There might be some value specific stuff but I don't think it'd be tied to the name itself. And if it is for some reason, I can probably code in a work around pretty easily. I'll take a look at it when I get a chance.
