I did not claim it was. I was saying that some people were talking about using perfumes like they did raise encounter rates and how, if it were true, would be unfair to most players who can't drop tons of cash into the virtual world. As it stands I am still upset about the lack of actual encounters with pyros. For a limited time event with multiple avatar items and multiple themed pets the encounter rate is REALLY too low. The current encounter rate would be fine if the pool of items was like 3-5. But it isn't.

Fighting a lot means exactly this: waste your life playing an internet game for the off chance you MAY run into a creature and get a coveted egg or some neat apparel. I'm a disabled adult, but even /I/ have real life stuff to do that will cut into my ability to grind. For instance for an hour tomorrow I will be at my mental health counseling appointment. Oh need I mention that my 3yr old (I am a mother of 2 boys as well) has his 4th birthday on the 4th? Plus my bf's birthday is on the 9th itself and we will be doing things that day as well. Add to that the fact that we go visit my bf's parents on a daily basis and you get the picture. I will be practicing unsafe health methods (aka staying up until I pass out at the computer) for like 2-3 pyros a day /if/ I'm lucky. In fact I passed out at about 6am EST and woke up at 11am. I am now about to go back to the grind, with still sore fingers from hours of grinding last night. that will be the ultimate take away from this event really....carpal tunnel syndrome.

I think the spawn rate for Pyromaniac should go up overtime as well (resetted after you beat one) so people who don't have much time still can have some chance to encounter Pyromaniacs quite often. It took me 300 battles to encounter one earlier and I need around an hour or so to do 300 battles which in my opinion is a bit too much. Also, maybe make the Pyromaniac stands on the spot where he spawns so people who fail to beat it can challenge it again.

PS: People who have beat Behemoth probably need more time to do 300 battles depending on their gears and how they set their pets.

I made some slight modifications to the spawn rate in favor of more spawns.

I then also added a daily "reset" to the counter bonus that happens at the start of the event. So, every day at midnight, if your current counter is lower than the bonus, it's adjusted to the bonus. If it's already higher than the bonus, it won't be affected.

In other words, this should make it easier to at least encounter your first one each day.

These changes only affect the Lost Grove version.

I haven't seen a Pyro yet but I admit I've not been doing that many battles, probably around 100 at this point. Since there are so many avvie items, perhaps Krin could add those drops to the regular Lost Grove and other bosses? That way we wouldn't be waiting for that one Pyro to come along.
