(ok)

Picking up a cloth, Sophie handed it to Tony, "What are you working on?"

"Oh, hey, Sophie." He picked up a small black metal tube off the table and fitted it in a silver metal star-shaped something. "This is something for Hawkeye. His quiver is too small for him to fit all the special arrows in it without them setting each other off." He laughed a little. "You should have seen him when the putty arrow set off the explosive arrow. It made a giant bubble in the putty and he thought it had blown his entire thing to bits. He was dancing trying to get it off. Hilarious." He chuckled again and welded the pieces together. "Look away from the sparks, Sophie." He set the metal starfish down and turned when he heard a yelp from Peter. "You okay, kid?" Peter looked up with a finger in his mouth. He nodded. "Yup, ish fine." Tony gave Peter an eyebrow. "Be careful with those. They're delicate." Peter nodded. "Shorry, Mishter Shtark."

Not finding it very amusing, Sophie frowned, "Uh couldn't that have been dangerous?" Then she turned to Peter and gave him a sympathetic smile. "I'm gonna head downstairs, see you later" She turned and headed towards the elevator.

Tony shrugged. "It wouldn't have been funny if it had exploded onto his back. As it was, the putty stuck all over his back so we had to put it through the Iron Man suit wash cycle, and it still didn't come out. He's using his old costume for now. I'm thinking of putting his puttied one in the freezer, see if putty works like gum. See you at dinner," he called after her. Peter hurried out, calling, "Bye, Mr. Stark! I got it working again. I'm going to be late for dinner!" He scurried to the elevator, reaching it just as the doors started sliding shut. "Hey, Sophie, wait!"

(She can call him Dad, he might think it was kind of weird but he probably wouldn't mind)
(Ok, just ping/message me when you're back)
"Thanks," Peter quickly got in, then, as the doors closed, "I was there when that arrow thing happened. It was actually really freaky when it happened, cause you know, we all thought the whole quiver was going to explode, then it didn't but the arrow stuck to his back, and Hawkeye makes his putty stuff really sticky and that's not going to come out. But thinking back it's kind of funny." He stuck his finger back in his mouth. "Mm. It really hurtsh a lot more than you'd think it would."

(ok, I decided she will call him, Tony, except sometimes when she's mad at him or something emotional, then he is 'dad')

Sophie laughed a little, "I guess it is kinda funny" but then her expression changed, "It's..it's just that Tony acts like everything is a joke, even dangerous things. It gets on my nerves!" She glared at the wall.

Peter tilted his head to the side. "I guess so. It's just that, maybe I'm used to it, you know, I've hung out with him a while, and then I get that sort of thing a lot at school, you know, from the guys. I dunno." The elevator reached the ground floor and Peter ran out, calling behind him, "Bye Sophie! Oh man, I'm gonna be late, Aunt May's gonna kill me! Bye!" He jumped and shot webbing at a building, swinging away.
When he got home, May was waiting with a spatula in one hand and a rather unhappy look on her face. "And where have you been, Peter? Dinner was thirty minutes ago." He gulped and shrugged off his backpack. "I was hanging out, you know, with friends," he said. "We were building stuff and I lost track of the time, and then I couldn't catch a bus so I had to walk." May softened a little. "Well, time it a little better next time, okay?" Peter nodded and went to put his backpack away.
(I have to go, but I'll be back tomorrow afternoon, I'll ping you when I reply to your next post.)
