I'm soooooo sorry to all of you who want animation, but I really need to catch up on my commissions before I can take anymore. :(

Hello all!
So, I need some work on my animating, I'm still trying to work out my timing and patience.
I want to create a portfolio of my animation, so please be aware that the things I do here may contribute to that. I will credit the owner, of course^^

For those of you who don't know how animating works:
Animating is an art skill that places still pictures that are slightly different from one another side by side. When these pictures are whipped by, all we see is a moving object.
Every second of film has 24 frames. a frame is basically one picture. An animator will draw on 12-15 of these frames each second; this changes, of course, depending on what's happening in that specific second.

Code of Conduct:

1. I do HAND DRAWN animation only. I will not do 3D animating. Ever.

2. I will not animate anything over 10 seconds long. If you want one over that, TOO BAD.

3. I will not animate: anything walking, running, or any extremely complicated actions. Avoiding humans atm. You can commish a human, I'm just not recommending it.

4. I do not have a deadline.

5. You can only commission one piece at a time.
There is no limit to how many times you can commission animation.

6. I can decline any commish without an explanation.

7. When I accept a commish,
I will send an estimated time of completion and an estimated cost.
These are estimates, and are thus due to change.

8. Please PING me. I wont know you want my attention unless you do^^

9. You have to tell me a joke when commissioning an animated piece, or else I will ignore your request. Don't know any jokes? Then come up with one or look one up!
Let's call it the entry fee^^

Pricing:
I will only charge you for the frames that I draw on. The "fluff-frames" will be free.
Also, I will take things other than gold. Pretty much anything. Just ask!
Fairy mushrooms are equivalent to 1g.

Cost per frame:

Sketch: 10g sketches may be in different colors

Inked: 100g when inked the sketch is invisible

Per Color: 500g e.g. if you have two colors each frame, the cost would be 1000g

Simple BG: Free simple would include just a flat color, a gradient, or a simple abstract object. Be aware! If you order a sketch with a BG the BG will show through the sketch. If you want it opaque you will have to purchase color or shading

Complex BG: 1000g Complex BGs are drawn in PS and then imported into my animating software

Simple Shading: 500g I will not go above simple flat cell shading

Also, if you want a sketch with animation that I draw on only 5 frames, those are free!
Just note that you want the "Freebie"
e.g. of animation with only 5 pictures would be:
a blink, a wink, a small smile, a shrug, a wave, etc.

Little Luff
Inked: 100g ea
Color: 500g x4= 2000g ea
# of total frames: 120
# of used frames: 15
Total cost: 2100x15= 31,500g


Flying Owl
Sketch: 10g ea
# of total frames: 12
# of used frames: 12
Total cost: 10x12= 120g

Inked: 100g ea
Shading: 500g ea
Simple BG: free
# of total frames: 38
# of used frames: 19
Total cost: 600x19= 11,400g


Water Sprite
Sketch: 10g ea
Color: 500g x3(for eyes only)= 1500g ea
Complex BG: 1000g(the rest of the Sprite)
# of total frames: 79
# of used frames: 8
Total cost: 1510x8= 12,080g

Please take note that I use Flipbook Pro to animate. I can import pictures no problem! But I have to export the film in a .gif format. This simplifies the animation quite a bit, and makes it 'less quality' art. Especially if you want a complex BG, this really stings. Also, when converting to .gif, it messes with my color choices. For example, yellows tend to turn green(like the luff above) and some browns tend to turn green as well. These are the most noticeable. So if you want color, just keep that in mind^^
And for some reason, dA really hates me posting colored animations, so if you want color, they may not be permanent.

Please colour it how you wish with as many colour as you want, don't use the exact same pattern as in the image ;3; I challenge your animal colouring creativity! It is an ink thingy. It is coloured. You can have any background you want, just do the art as if it's worth 30k.. not as if your simple sketches aren't but still! Unlimited colours. Shading would be nice. No other requests.

I can try, though I did say that I would not animate anything walking(partly because a. I have tried and it looks horrible. and b. I have never tried a four footed one before.)
So I can totally animate your creature, only I'm not promising the quality. Though I guess I wanted work, so... :D
Owo, not my animal coloring creativity! Do you want the same colors but a different pattern, or just something new entirely? (be warned: .gif files change yellows to greenish-yellows)

I will probably just do a simple BG like the one in the Kelpari animation. The line helps me to keep everything on the right path^^ if you know what I mean.

that with inkies I will be posting a WIP of the sketch before I ink. So you get some previews!!!

I actually went ahead of myself and did a lill sketch. I had to use a reference though. I actually really like how it turned out, even though it took like three hours^^
I made it walk like a deer, even though I did this before you said it walked that way! Like minds...
By the way, have you come up with a name for your species yet? Not that I'm pushing, I'm just genuinely interested.
Anyway, here's the WIP sketch that I did earlier today:

Does anything need changing? I had to redraw the tail three times, ughhhh. I still don't like it a whole lot.
And this is just a sketch, so....It's just the skeleton. The stick legs are the one's furthest from the viewer. The fleshed legs are the one's closest to the viewer.
