As most of you already know who have followed the Lost Grove, Stage 2 of The Untamed Forest will be launching today at 12 PM server time... which is in about exactly 8 hours!

In order to be able to access Stage 2, you must have either contributed to the global Stage 1 or completed your Individual Stage 1. Either way, when visiting the Lost Grove, you will see a countdown. Seeing this countdown indicates you will automatically update to Stage 2 upon its release.

For players not able to join Stage 2 at its release, do not worry! It won't be going anywhere. =) You can progress through Stage 1 on your own time and if you complete it prior to Stage 2 completing, you will join in to the global Stage 2. If you get there after Stage 2 has completed, then you will have access to your own Individual Stage 2. Either way, you will be able to enjoy the Stage at your own schedule.


In celebration of Stage 2, we will be releasing the first 16 Themed Pets of the Lost Grove. They can be previewed at the bottom of this announcement. They will be wild pets able to be encountered in the Lost Grove only in The Untamed Forest (aka Section 1). Keep in mind, this is not a Festival Zone. These Themed will be rare; it is by design.

[Perfumes of Themed Attraction] will work on attracting these Themed Pets. However, they will work differently than they have in the past. I am still getting the final numbers straightened out, but they will last for a large amount of random encounters. For each of those random encounters, the rate of encountering a Themed Pet will be significantly increased.

However, due to the way things will be setup, it will not be uncommon for a player to fail to find any Themed Pets from a single use of a perfume. Instead, the use of perfumes will now stack and keep carrying over until a player encounters a Themed Pet. Similar to the mechanic of how Named spawn at this time - where each additional non-Named spawn increases the chance of a Named spawning next and then it resets once it does.

The reason for this is because it is a balance of what we value these new Themed Pets at, the Diamond cost of a perfume, and the value perfumes have based on already in-game perfumes.


There is also a real chance of possible server issues depending on how many players show up at noon today. If the server encounters any issues, please just bear with us and keep hammering the server - it is how we will most easily resolve the issue. If we detect any issues, we will immediately contact our Host and work with them until the issues are resolved. It will be a growing pain; literally. =P

Wow. This is so awesome. In my few days on this site, there were more new features and dialogs between player and developer then on other sites in a month or more!
