Kai turned a bit to spot a boy a bit farther down the grass, sitting alone. He held something in his hands.. a book, possibly? She looked around for any sign of his friends or company.

(He worked at the mental hospital.)

The book was set aside after a moment and his water bottle picked up as he took a drink. It was almost time for the bell, maybe he should get going.

Kai's eyes flickered to look at the empty street. No one would notice she left until she reached home... but, no, she wouldn't do that! But today had been terrible.... she sighed.

He stood shouldering his pack before looking down at the road. Strange there was a single car on it at the moment, though it was parked on the side of the road a ways down. The sun glinted off the dark tented windows making the black SUV look even shadier than it already did. Though they were park on the side of the road, and it didn't seem anyone was there so he did worry. Thinking nothing of it the boy took a breath before heading back to the school, walking towards the girl as he did:

She turned, hearing some rustling, and the boy had been reading stood. As he walked towards her she gave him a questioning look. "Uh, hi? Do you know if lunch has ended yet?" She didn't notice the SUV and it's spot on the road.

He looked up at her for a moment. "Not yet but it's about to." He said simply continuing along his path back to the school. Stopping only to retrieve a ponytail from his pocket to put his hair up. When he began to walk again he noticed the SUV pulling towards them. "Wonder what is up with that car..." he said in a worried tone as it approached them.

"I don't know." She replied, but out of instinct she back away. "It's probably nothing, we're on school grounds anyway." Kai was ready to turn and run but didn't want to seem foolish, after all she might have just been too paranoid.
