Yep you did it! To tell if you pinged someone or not you can look at your post you just posted, and on the top there will be a fade @Typhix (or whoevers name you pinged)

What is AP? Apparently I have 334 of it...

You forgot to ping me, lol. AP = advancement points. Advancement Points are collected through performing various tasks across Sylestia, and can be earned just through playing the game. These points are used to unlock avatar features, such as hair, eyes, and ears. These features can also be unlocked through diamonds, however for those not wishing to use diamonds the only other method is through AP.
Each activity earns a specific number of points.
AP is mainly used to buy items in the wardrobe. If you browse through the wardrobe, some items will have AP on the top right corner of its box. That means you can use AP to buy that item. To buy, click on the item, and it'll ask if you want to pay in AP or diamonds, click AP.

Nurturing:

1 point for every 10 eggs nurtured.

Breeding:

20 points for each breeding.

Both parents must be your own pets. This is to prevent people from spam breeding with cheap pets just for AP.

Battling:

1 point for every enemy star within 25 levels of your player level

This is based on your player level, not your pet levels. Enemies that are more than 25 levels under your player level do not yield any AP. So for example say your player level is 60. Enemies level 36+ will all yield 1 point per star, and anything level 35 and under will yield nothing.

Dungeons:

Nightfall Bandit Dungeon: 50 Points

Dungeon of the Forsaken: 100 Points

While doing the Myconid Colosseum isn't required, it's recommended since you can get up to 90 AP from it.

Missions:

Mission points are not affected by whether or not you succeed, only that you finish the mission. Even failed missions will still yield AP.

1 Hour:

Lvl 0: 0 Points
Lvl 25: 25 Points

2 Hours:

Lvl 10: 14 Points
Lvl 35: 49 Points

6 Hours:

Lvl 20: 36 Points
Lvl 45: 81 Points

12 Hours:

Lvl 25: 65 Points
Lvl 50: 130 Points

Quests:

Daily Quests: 40 Points

Give this page a read over. By successfully interacting with the egglings/hatchling you can earn scales!

Now, put in your search info!
By interacting with other people's pets, you will appear in the section "Users who nurtured my pets today". So anyone who is using that search option can find and interact back with you!

Hit Search! Look at all the eggs ~ Click one!

Clicking an egg will bring up this window. See at the top there where it says "This Eggling Is Dull"? That's your clue to what you need to do to have a successful interaction! So sense it's dull ... let's polish it!

You had a successful interaction! See how the egg says nurtured in red below it? Any egg/hatching you've already interacted with will get that, even if you failed to nurture it properly.

Successful nurtures get you a reward, yay! But if you don't get the clue right you wont get a reward for the interaction.
