Her adventurous spirit longed for the mountains, but her reasonable mind said no. She sighed, and then happily ignored it. She dashed off downstream.

As the mountains neared you could hear the sounds of birds and other creatures and the foot of the white peaked mountains became a vast field of flowers.

Janet smiled at the noises. The world was not totally empty of other life, good. She was taken aback by the sheer beauty and majesty of the mountains. She took a moment to breath in deeply the scents of the luscious field.

The river soon tapered off and you could see what looked like an old dirt road

She padded up to it, sniffing briefly to see if there were any fresh scents. Who had made this path? It could not really be as okd as it looked, right? She had been told the world was still new.

There was surprisingly a scent on the road but it was fading quickly

Janet chased the scent, not wanting to let it slip away. Too caught up in the adventure to spend time trying to identify it:

the scent followed the road and it seemed tis owner was moving slower than you as the cent grew stronger

Now with less pressure of losing the scent, Janet slowed a tad so she could spend a little time examining the scent.
